In the final event of the day on December 11th, the Vietnamese relay team entered the final with thorough preparation in terms of both tactics and personnel.
Coach Nguyen Hoang Vu stated that the team was built through a long-term training process, ensuring that each swimmer is in top form and suited to their position.

In the race, Nguyen Huy Hoang started steadily, before Tran Hung Nguyen set the pace to prepare for a breakthrough moment. The third heat saw a lightning-fast surge from Tran Van Nguyen Quoc - the 17-year-old swimmer made a major breakthrough by narrowing the gap and bringing Vietnam back into the leading group.
In the final leg, Trinh Viet Tuong displayed great composure, accelerating at the right moment to help his team finish first with a time of 7 minutes 18 seconds 67. Malaysia won the silver medal (7 minutes 19 seconds 50), and Singapore received the bronze medal (7 minutes 21 seconds 13).
This victory helped the Vietnamese men's 4x200m freestyle relay team achieve a historic milestone: winning the SEA Games championship for three consecutive times (2021, 2023, 2025).
This impressive achievement not only affirms Vietnam's number one position in the region but also demonstrates the remarkable maturity of the young generation of Vietnamese swimmers in the swimming arena.
