10% discount on train tickets for incoming students

On August 26, the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company announced that it will reduce train fares by 10% for newly admitted students. This policy applies to students, trainees and accompanying relatives to enroll in universities, academies, colleges, vocational and technical high schools in the 2025 exam season.

Specifically, each student will receive a 10% discount on all train tickets for one round-trip ticket and one ticket for a family member traveling with them. Valid until October 31, 2025.

To buy discounted train tickets, students and trainees buy tickets directly at railway stations and ticket sales points. When buying, provide admission notice and valid identification documents of yourself and your relatives to the ticket sales staff.

Currently, on the North-South route, there are 6 pairs of Thong Nhat trains running regularly. In the South, there are Saigon-Da Nang, Saigon-Nha Trang, and Saigon-Phan Thiet trains. In the North, there are daily trains running Hanoi -Vinh; Hanoi-Hai Phong, and Hanoi-Laos.
