Contest contenteducates the young generation about revolutionary heroism, promoting the nation's traditions on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory
The Central Secretariat of the Vietnam Student Association launched a competition to design propaganda products to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) with the theme "Students with aspirations for the country".
Contestants are Association officials, members, and Vietnamese students at home and abroad; they can participate as individuals or in groups (maximum 3 people). There is no limit on the number of participants and the number of entries.
Entries are short video clips (shorts, reels, TikTok clips, etc.); modern media publications on digital platforms (infographics, posters, etc.) promoting the Dien Bien Phu Victory and lessons for today's young generation.
The awards for the short clips include: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes. The awards include certificates of merit from the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Association and cash prizes.
Awards for modern media publications on digital platforms include: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes; awarded certificates of merit by the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Association and cash prizes.
The special prize is for the best individual or group of the contest, with all expenses covered for the journey "Students with national aspirations" in Dien Bien Phu City and Muong Nhe District, Dien Bien Province, from April 25 to April 28.

The organizers said that the content of the propaganda product mentioned the historical context, the French plot in the Nava plan; the Party's policy on launching the Dien Bien Phu Campaign; the developments and results of the campaign; the victories and feats of our army and people in the resistance war against the French.
The great stature, historical value and profound significance of the Dien Bien Phu Victory for the nation and the era; affirms the heroic spirit, intelligence and creativity of our army and people, especially the correct and creative political, military and diplomatic lines of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh.
Patriotism, revolutionary heroism, the strength of national unity, Vietnamese mettle and intelligence, the will to fight and win, and the strength of the Vietnamese people's army and armed forces are the decisive factors in all victories of the Vietnamese revolution.
Educating the young generation about revolutionary heroism, promoting the nation's traditions, striving in studying, working, and training to build and defend the Fatherland, contributing to building a prosperous and happy country towards the goal of 2030, vision 2045 as determined by the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
The contest content also mentioned the loyal and steadfast solidarity of the army and people of the three Indochinese countries; the valuable help of international friends for our people's resistance war against France.
Especially the great merits and contributions of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, youth volunteers, frontline laborers and people of all walks of life in the resistance war against the French.
The valuable lessons of the Dien Bien Phu Victory need to continue to be promoted and spread in the cause of building and defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam; the socio-economic, defense and security achievements of the country, of the ethnic groups in the Northwest and Dien Bien province over the past 70 years; the resolutions, strategies, programs, projects, and development orientations of the Northwest region and Dien Bien province in the coming time.
The works may also reflect on the activities of the youth nationwide towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
