From 8am, Saigon ward becomes more bustling. The area around Notre Dame Cathedral, 30/4 Park, and Reunification Hall is crowded with groups of young people gathering for coffee. In each person's hand is a glass of water, a few packages of breakfast, and phones open to watch the live parade from Ba Dinh Square ( Hanoi ).

In the heart of the city, the atmosphere was both bustling with laughter and quiet as young people watched the screen together, immersing themselves in the atmosphere of National Day.

“My group and I planned many days in advance to go to a coffee shop together and watch the parade on the screen. Even though I only got to watch the parade on an iPad, I felt very proud and grateful to the Fatherland,” said Hoang Tu Trinh (22 years old).

“I feel a little regretful that I cannot go to Hanoi to watch the parade in person. However, I was able to sit with my friends, watch each live broadcast image, and clearly feel the common joy of the country on this great holiday,” Quynh Huong (a girl holding an iPad, living in Tan Phu ward) shared.

In front of the Reunification Hall, many people stopped to take photos with Van Minh’s special motorbike. The motorbike was covered with red flags with yellow stars, standing out among the crowd pouring into the center of Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of September 2.
“I decorated this car so that people can comfortably take souvenir photos. Anyone who asks me to take photos is willing, without any charge. I just want to spread joy and pride in the Fatherland to everyone,” said Mr. Minh.

At noon, the flow of people to the center of Ho Chi Minh City became more crowded. Hoang Anh (11 years old) and his mother stopped to take souvenir photos in front of the gate of Thong Nhat Hall. Smiling brightly in a shirt with the national flag, Hoang Anh said that this was his idea when he invited his parents to ride their bikes to visit historical sites in Ho Chi Minh City during the holiday.

Children enthusiastically played with pigeons in front of Notre Dame Cathedral. The innocent image combined with the red color of shirts printed with the national flag added a bright and lively color to the festival atmosphere in Saigon ward.

Inside Ben Thanh underground station, the holiday atmosphere is bustling as this place becomes a check-in spot loved by many young people.

From the bustling main roads with red flags and yellow stars in the center, stepping into the alleys also catches the National Day atmosphere spreading. Many young people enjoy choosing to weave through the small alleys, strolling and feeling the connection from the large square to every familiar street corner on Independence Day.
