Recognizing the key role of the people in building a unique cultural village, the Hoa Vang district government, together with the authorities of Bo Ban and Phong Nam villages, continuously organized propaganda sessions on the project.
At the conference to collect people's opinions on building a unique cultural village organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Vang district in Phong Nam village, there were 296/300 votes of people agreeing to build a unique cultural village; 50 votes proposed to contribute opinions, no votes against. In Bo Ban village, 347/450 votes agreed; 55 votes proposed to contribute opinions, no votes against.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Ha - Head of the Department of Culture - Science and Information of Hoa Vang district acknowledged that thanks to the efforts and perseverance in mass mobilization, most people have become aware of their rights and responsibilities in building a unique cultural village.
"From the initial difficulties to today's results, it has been proven that understanding the thoughts and aspirations of the people is the first step to lead to positive results. Building a unique cultural village will be a solid foundation for the people of Hoa Vang district to both preserve national identity and build a cultural and civilized lifestyle according to new criteria," Ms. Thu Ha shared.
The project to build a "Characteristic Cultural Village" aims to preserve and promote cultural values in Hoa Vang district in general, and the unique cultural values of each community of the two villages in particular, while contributing to promoting comprehensive development of economy, culture, society, environment, improving the material and spiritual life of the people, ensuring political security, social order and safety.
In Hoa Chau commune, in parallel with the propaganda, the People's Committee of the commune coordinated with the Department of Culture and Information of Hoa Vang district to distribute leaflets to each household, so that people could read, see, and grasp basic information. As a result, up to now, some infrastructure items such as traffic, drainage system... in the project to build a unique cultural village have been completed, other projects are still being accelerated by the people and the government.
Mr. Le Duc Hung - Chairman of Hoa Chau Commune People's Committee informed: "Immediately after the project to build a "Characteristic Cultural Village" was implemented, the commune mobilized all households to immediately take action so that they could see their role and responsibility in protecting the environment, preserving relics and heritage, and improving civilized cultural life.
When people realized that the main purpose was to embellish and preserve their homeland, they were very unanimous, especially through collective activities and gathering together, people restored solidarity, connection, and brought themselves closer together.
To expand the main road surrounding the village, 100% of households in the project area signed a commitment to donate 50% of the land value for road construction. Currently, Phong Nam village has completed 2 traffic routes, both intra-field and inter-village.
Specifically, from the rice field bank less than 1 meter wide, it was expanded 7 meters wide to build a 5.5 meter road to connect with 2 other villages: a 500 meter long route connecting Phong Nam and Quan Chau villages, a more than 700 meter long route connecting Phong Nam and Tay An villages.
At the same time, Phong Nam village community house was upgraded and renovated to be very beautiful, expanding its functions, both as a place for entertainment and meetings of the people, and as a place for economic and social activities of the village.
In particular, in May 2025, Hoa Chau commune was honored to receive the "Certificate of ranking as a historical relic at the city level" for Phong Le Ancestral Temple, an event that brought great joy and pride, fulfilling the long-standing expectations of the local government and people. Receiving the Certificate of ranking as a relic for Phong Le Ancestral Temple is also a meaningful and important step for Hoa Chau commune to build a unique cultural village.
According to Mr. Tra Dinh Thu - Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoa Phong commune, in building a unique cultural village, the commune government has encouraged and promoted people to promote the cultural identity of Bo Ban village and clan culture in participating in building a unique cultural village, and put the contents that people committed to into the village's covenants and regulations.
Focus on conventions and commitments not to divide small plots of land, build three-room houses, not to build high-rise buildings, fences and gates decorated with trees and bamboo, proactively coordinate with the commune and mobilize the active participation of people to make signboards in each hamlet connecting temples with the village communal house, clan church, promote the role and responsibility of the Village Communal House Management Board in collecting and editing information on the history, culture, people of Bo Ban, village communal house, hamlets, palaces, temples, clan churches.
Other items related to environment, landscape, security and order were also focused on by the People's Committee of Hoa Phong commune, such as mobilizing some households to decorate their fences and gates appropriately, encouraging people to plant trees and flowers to create unique highlights for the 8 hamlets of the village, at the same time improving the environment and installing cameras on all roads in the village.
