In recent years, Lam Dong Museum has gradually applied 4.0 technology in conservation work, creating positive effects and contributing to spreading cultural heritage values ​​in research, study, experience and enjoyment of the public and visitors.

Many exhibits have QR codes set up next to the exhibit captions, enhancing the visitor experience.

Lam Dong Museum has digitized the scientific records database and entered 5,000 typical artifacts belonging to archaeological groups, cultural characteristics of ethnic groups, nature of Lam Dong, ancient Da Lat and history of resistance... These artifacts are managed on software with 20 basic information fields. The software allows updating, editing, backing up, deleting, viewing, reporting, browsing... records, artifact information..., helping to manage digitized data, report on catalogs, quantity, material of artifacts; report on catalogs of collection quantity, customize collection information, search for artifact information; manage import and export of artifacts effectively and flexibly.
Lam Dong Museum has built a virtual museum system on the website, allowing 3D tours of both the interior exhibition space and the exterior landscape. This system gives visitors a similar experience to reality, anytime, anywhere via the internet. To increase interaction with artifacts, the Provincial Museum has selected and 3D digitized about 200 typical artifacts, attached to the virtual exhibition space. The technique used is optical 3D scanning with a digital camera, allowing visitors to easily move, adjust viewing angles, zoom in, zoom out and access detailed information about the artifacts.
For those who want to conduct in-depth research on each artifact or collection of artifacts on display, the Provincial Museum has also built a QR code system for each collection or typical artifact. To date, Lam Dong Museum has set up over 400 QR codes, arranged in the exhibition space next to the artifact annotation board. Visitors can use smart devices such as smartphones, tablets... to scan and research all information and images of the artifacts in the most complete and authentic way...
With the goal of creating many new experiences for visitors, in 2022, at the National Monument of Da Lat Children's Prison, Lam Dong Museum researched and put into use an automatic explanation system to serve visitors. Here, the museum has designed and put into operation 18 automatic explanation points, using smart devices to experience through the internet environment without having to download the application. Visitors only need to scan the QR codes numbered according to the system to be able to listen or read all the information related to the previously designed exhibition complexes. This new approach is suitable for all visitors, especially those who want to learn more about the relic, attracting the attention of the public, especially young people...

This is an important step forward, contributing to improving the management, preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values. At the same time, it increases interaction between the museum and the public, promotes heritage, changes perceptions and attracts more and more visitors. The number of visitors to the museum website has increased significantly, accompanied by many positive responses from the public.
