At the reception, introducing IHW Group, Mr. Kuninori Takagi said that IHW Group operates in the non-profit medical field, including medicine, hospitals and social welfare activities.
According to Mr. Kuninori Takagi, in the past 8 years, the group has granted medical scholarships to many excellent Vietnamese students to study and work, with the scholarship value for students each year ranging from 20 to 30 million yen.
According to the head of IHW Group, this group owns two of Japan's leading hospitals, Sanno and Narita. With this potential, when IHW comes to Vietnam, it wants to invest in a high-class international hospital based on Japanese standards, located in the North Hanoi Smart City (Smart City), with an area of about 2.5 hectares.
Mr. Kuninori Takagi hopes that this hospital - if it can be realized - will not only be a place for examination and treatment for patients, but will also be invested in to become a clinical center, where doctors and medical staff can come to study and practice.
In that spirit, the Chairman of IWH Group hopes that Hanoi city will pay attention to supporting and realizing the idea; emphasizing that currently at the proposed location there is no plan to build a hospital.
Appreciating the sharing of Mr. Kuninori Takagi, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen expressed his support for the idea and proposal of a high-quality hospital in Hanoi.
According to Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen, investment activities in the health andeducation sectors are highly humane; the city government will accompany IWH Group to promote the hospital construction project.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen affirmed that Hanoi will conduct a specific review and then respond to IWH Group's request.
