Mr. Lam Minh Thanh - Deputy Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee - affirmed that Ha Tien is a land rich in historical and cultural values ​​and the people live peacefully and affectionately. This land is an endless source of inspiration in poetry, leaving a special mark in the past and opening up many better expectations in the future.

Accordingly, Mr. Thanh requires each cadre and party member to be an example of ethics, lifestyle, dare to think, dare to do and dare to take responsibility.

As an important trade gateway of the whole region with Cambodia and Thailand, the locality exploits the advantages of an international border gate urban area, connecting the development of the quadrilateral region of Rach Gia - Long Xuyen - Chau Doc - Ha Tien.

This is the driving force for industrial development, logistics, cultural and ecological tourism, and a center for research on varieties serving agricultural and aquatic production; developing border trade economy , a hub for trade and cooperation with Cambodia.

"The locality needs to develop urban spaces reclaimed from the sea, artificial islands and focus on preserving and developing the cultural heritage values, traditions of the land and people. Ha Tien must strive to become a center of marine economy, tourism and border trade, and develop sustainably in the coming time," said Mr. Thanh.

According to the Ha Tien Ward Party Committee, in the 2020-2025 term, local trade, services and tourism will always be the key economic sector, with a total value of VND 47,760 billion; the agriculture - forestry - fishery sector is estimated at VND 7,049 billion and service and tourism revenue is about VND 14,507 billion.

During the 2025-2030 term, the locality will identify breakthroughs and focus on investing in developing maritime economic infrastructure, tourism and border trade, and promoting regional connectivity.

Rectify and improve the effectiveness of state management of land, urban areas, environment, security and order, and strictly handle violations in areas without restrictions.

In addition, promote investment and application of science and technology, build digital government, smart cities, create a favorable environment for people and businesses to invest and develop the socio-economy.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, Mr. Nguyen Luu Trung holds the position of Secretary of the Ha Tien Ward Party Committee; Mr. Tran Hai Quoc holds the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Ha Tien Ward People's Committee.
