The workshop was chaired by Dr. Nguyen Diep Mai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports ; Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Hue, Director of the Provincial Museum; and Dr. Nguyen Quang Khanh, Deputy Director in charge of the An Giang Provincial Relics Management Board.
The Chiêu Anh Các literary circle – a unique and pioneering cultural phenomenon in the southern region in the 18th century – is not only a brilliant symbol of Southern literature but also a distinctive cultural mark in the development of national literature, creating a unique cultural identity for Ha Tien, past and present.


Researchers and scientists participated in discussions and presentations.
At the workshop, more than 40 delegates, including scientists and researchers from across the country, participated in presentations and discussions on two main topics.
Topic 1: “The Heritage Value of the Chiêu Anh Các Literary Circle - Hà Tiên in Vietnamese Literature and the Cultural Development of the Hà Tiên Region”. Based on records and research from books and documents, researchers clarify the imprint of the Chiêu Anh Các Literary Circle on the formation of Southern Vietnamese culture and literature.
Topic 2: “Preserving and exploiting the heritage value of the Chieu Anh Cac literary circle to serve cultural and tourism development.” Delegates shared and proposed solutions to promote the heritage value of the Chieu Anh Cac literary circle; preserve and promote the value of the Chieu Anh Cac literary circle festival in Ha Tien; educate and disseminate this knowledge to the younger generation in schools…
Dr. Nguyen Diep Mai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of An Giang province (project leader), said: “We hope to complete this project this year, contributing to the achievements celebrating the 290th anniversary of the founding of the Chieu Anh Cac literary circle in 2026. After the project's output is approved, we will use the results to apply for recognition as a national documentary heritage, moving towards building it into an Asia-Pacific documentary heritage, and simultaneously developing unique cultural tourism products for Ha Tien and An Giang.”
