Ha Tinh: A class has more than half of the students having near-perfect SAT scores and IELTS 8.0

Class 12 English 1 has a total of 30 students, of which 15/28 students took the SAT and scored above 1500/1600. This is a popular standardized test, used for university admission nationwide. The test consists of three parts: Reading, Language and Mathematics, with a total score of 1,600. With IELTS, the class has 20/29 students scoring 8.0 or higher, the rest scored 7.5.

Notable among them is Nguyen Thi Dieu Anh, who achieved a perfect SAT score of 1600/1600 and an IELTS score of 8.0. With this result, Dieu Anh is among the rare 1% of candidates in the world who achieved a perfect SAT score.

Speaking to reporters of the People's Representative Newspaper, Mr. Hoang Ba Hung - Principal of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted said that class 12 English 1 is an excellent group in all learning and training activities. Not only achieving high results in exams such as provincial and national excellent students, the students also do well in SAT and IELTS exams, as well as always showing a spirit of solidarity, interaction and mutual support.

"This is a clear demonstration ofeducational innovation according to the 2018 General Education Program, helping students develop their thinking, qualities and a solid foundation to enter university," Mr. Hung emphasized.

According to the Principal, the role of the homeroom teacher is very important. She is not only an exemplary English teacher, but also dedicated, tolerant, has many creative solutions, and arouses students' interest in learning.

Accompanying class 12 English 1 during the high school years, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong Huyen - Homeroom teacher expressed her pride in the class's achievements. Since grade 10, the students in the class have had a good learning movement and a high spirit of solidarity. They encourage each other to strive to study, aiming to achieve the best results.
