Ha Tinh: A class has more than half of the students with near-perfect SAT scores and IELTS 8.0

Class 12 English 1 (Ha Tinh Specialized High School) stands out with impressive achievements when more than half of the class's students achieved 1500/1600 SAT scores and 8.0 IELTS.

English 12 class has a total of 30 students, of which 15/28 students scored above 1500/1600 on the SAT. This is a popular standardized test used for university admission nationwide. The test consists of three parts: Reading, Language and Mathematics, with a total score of 1,600. With IELTS, the class has 20/29 students scoring 8.0 or above, the rest scored 7.5.

Notable among them is Nguyen Thi Dieu Anh who achieved a perfect SAT score of 1600/1600 and 8.0 IELTS. With this result, Dieu Anh is among the rare 1% of candidates in the world who achieved a perfect SAT score.

Talking to reporters of the People's Representative Newspaper, Mr. Hoang Ba Hung - Principal of Ha Tinh Specialized High School said that class 12 English 1 is an excellent group in all learning and training activities. Not only achieving high results in exams such as provincial and national excellent students, they also do well in SAT and IELTS exams, as well as always showing the spirit of solidarity, interaction and mutual support.

"This is a clear demonstration of educational innovation according to the 2018 General Education Program, helping students develop their thinking, qualities and a solid foundation to enter university," Mr. Hung emphasized.

According to the Principal, the role of the homeroom teacher is very important. She is not only an exemplary English teacher, but also dedicated, tolerant, has many creative solutions, and arouses students' interest in learning.
