Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that the signing ceremony of the Hanoi Convention was a complete success in all aspects.

In particular, the fact that 72 countries officially signed the Convention right at the opening ceremony not only demonstrates trust in the central role of the United Nations and Vietnam's commitment and responsibility, but also deeply demonstrates the common concern of the international community with cybercrime. This is a record number, demonstrating a rare level of participation and support, especially for a very new international document, showing the great attraction and broad consensus, and determination of the international community to act together to bring the Convention into life, to implement it effectively and fully.

Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that Vietnam's hosting of the signing ceremony and the High-Level Conference of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime is of great significance in the process of building a safe and healthy cyberspace, serving the country's sustainable development. This is the largest international event ever on combating cybercrime, clearly demonstrating Vietnam's political determination and proactive role in creating a global cyber security ecosystem.

Vietnam's proactive leadership of global legal processes also contributes to demonstrating the mettle and aspiration of a nation entering a new stage of development: Independence, self-reliance, deep integration and responsibility towards the international community.

The Hanoi Convention is the first international legal document at the United Nations level on combating cybercrime, and is also an important basis for Vietnam to promote cooperation, receive technical assistance, improve digital investigation capacity and share information with partners. Thereby, Vietnam has gradually built a modern national cybersecurity ecosystem - in which the factors of protecting citizens' rights, protecting businesses and protecting digital sovereignty are placed at the center.

Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that this event creates a premise to promote education and propaganda about network information security throughout society, raise awareness and responsibility of people and businesses, and contribute to building a civilized and safe digital environment - where everyone can feel secure in studying, working and developing in the digital age.
