Argentinean tennis player Camilo Ugo Carabelli is the 5th seed of the ATP 250 tournament. Chilean tennis player Cristian Garin reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon 2022. The match between them was quite exciting and ended with a 2-0 victory (6-4, 6-4) for Carabelli.

However, after Carabelli won the deciding point, tensions flared between them. According to British press reports, on the way back to their seats, both players exchanged words.

Carabelli allegedly called Garin "bobo", which means "stupid" or "idiot" in Spanish. Garin angrily responded in Spanish: "Why are you calling me an idiot? Why are you calling me an idiot, what's wrong with you?".

The Chilean player also asked the referee to intervene. But the referee did not understand what they were saying. He asked both of them to speak in English but they also did not understand what the referee said.

The argument then continued, with Carabelli declaring that "nobody likes" Garin before wishing him a pleasant journey home. Of course, Garin was not amused, saying: "I'll meet you outside to see if you have the courage."
