Hainan Airlines (China) will open a new route Haikou - Cam Ranh

On November 5, Khanh Hoa Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center chaired a meeting with representatives of Hainan Airlines (China) to discuss the plan to operate the new Haikou - Cam Ranh route. Attending the meeting were representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association and related departments and branches.

Mr. Truong Van Tien - Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion presented gifts to representatives of Hainan Airlines.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion introduced an overview of the potential and strengths of Khanh Hoa tourism, and preferential policies to facilitate the exploitation of new routes. After about 4 years of interruption due to the Covid-19 epidemic, Hainan Airlines will officially return to the Khanh Hoa market with the Haikou - Cam Ranh commercial route from December 2025. Hainan Airlines plans to operate the Haikou - Cam Ranh route with a frequency of 3 flights/week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; flight time is about 2 hours, departing from Haikou Island at 20:50 (local time) and arriving at Cam Ranh at 23:55. The two sides committed to comprehensive cooperation, building attractive flight - hotel packages, aiming to build a stable flight network.

Hainan Airlines is one of the four largest airlines in China. During the period 2016 - 2020, Hainan Airlines opened a commercial flight route from Haikou to Cam Ranh, contributing to the growth of Chinese tourists to Khanh Hoa. Hainan Airlines' plan to reopen this route is a positive signal and is of great significance to the recovery of the Chinese tourist market in Khanh Hoa province.
