Lesson 1: Entrepreneurs keep the "Party fire" alive in the marketplace

In the flow of deep integration, in the business world like a "battlefield", businessmen who are willing to stick with the Party's ideals are truly precious. They established Party organizations in their enterprises to keep the "Party flame" shining on the path to legitimate, humane and sustainable enrichment. Typical examples are Party members and businessmen Tran Van Thu, Chairman of the Board of Members, General Director of Dai Tan Company (LLC) and Nguyen Duy Ha, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SBI Joint Stock Company, both in Bac Ninh province.

From the battlefield to the marketplace - Affirming the mettle of a party member

Established in 1998, Dai Tan Company Party Cell in Que Vo II Industrial Park is one of the first non-state Party organizations in Bac Ninh. The founder and Party Cell Secretary for 22 years is Party member, veteran Tran Van Thu, Chairman of the Board of Members, General Director of the Company.

Mr. Thu was born in 1953, in Phu Lang pottery village, on the banks of the Cau River. In 1971, he enlisted in the army, drove on the Truong Son fire line, participated in many major campaigns such as Phuoc Long, Tay Nguyen, and the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign. After the country's reunification, he continued to fight to protect the southwestern border, and performed international duties in Laos and Cambodia. After going through three battlefields B, C, and K, in 1988 he was admitted to the Party and was discharged in 1993.

Returning home, the soldier continued on the economic front. His limited pension and a few acres of rice fields made it difficult for him and his wife to raise four children. Developing the family economy became a challenge to the soldier's mettle and the Party member's intelligence. That was the first year our Party allowed Party members to develop private economic activities.

Mr. Thu started with the traditional pottery profession. With diligence and accumulation, in 1997 he established Que Vo Transport Cooperative. In 1998, the Cooperative Party Cell was born - the first private economic model with a Party cell in the locality. Mr. Thu said: "I established the Party cell to do business in accordance with the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws; to develop the economy but still maintain ethics, social responsibility and the spirit of serving the homeland and country."

The Party cell truly becomes the political nucleus, guiding all activities of the enterprise. From purchasing vehicles, opening routes, signing contracts, everything is discussed democratically within the Party cell, ensuring both economic efficiency and the Party's direction.

The cooperative with 13 initial cars gradually built up the trust of customers, by 2003, Que Vo Transport Cooperative was transformed into Dai Tan Company (LLC). In 2015, the company moved its headquarters to Que Vo II Industrial Park with synchronous infrastructure... Currently, the company has 150 vehicles of all kinds, becoming a professional brand for transporting goods and tourists, a partner of many large enterprises such as Samsung, Vinamilk, Unilever, Vifon...

If in 2009, the company's revenue reached 30 billion VND, in 2019, the revenue was more than 141 billion VND. And from 2020 to now, the company has maintained a tax payment to the State of 3 to 4 billion VND/year; created jobs for 200 workers with an average salary of 15 million VND/person/month; each year, the company spends about 600 to 700 million VND on humanitarian and charitable activities.

The company has received many Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Finance and the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province. Mr. Tran Van Thu was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal in 2021 and on October 23, 2025, was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal.

These noble awards recognize the positive contributions of businessmen and party members to the country's socio-economic development, ensuring social security and humanitarian charity.

Keeping the "Party fire" going to take businesses far

On the development journey, the Party cell and Party member - businessman Tran Van Thu are the spiritual support, orientation and motivation for Dai Tan Company to overcome challenges and grow sustainably.

Mr. Thu asserted: “Challenges and difficulties always exist, as long as you remain steadfast as a soldier and a party member, your honor will never be lost, because your honor is tied to the reputation of your business. Customer satisfaction is your success.”

“The most important thing is to do a good job of ideological work to maintain the “fire of the Party”, to discuss democratically, to listen, to propagate to everyone that the set goals are correct, to unanimously implement them, to uphold discipline, social responsibility and doing business in accordance with the law is the foundation for long-term business development”, Mr. Thu added.

As Party cell secretary, Mr. Thu always focuses on Party development work. From 4 initial party members, the party cell now has 20 party members, many of whom have grown up and hold key positions in the company. A typical example is party member Nguyen Hong Hai, who went from technical staff to Deputy General Director and was elected Party cell secretary in 2019.

The transfer of the role of Party leader is explained by Mr. Tran Van Thu as "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, you have to go together. Enterprises that want to develop need to have trustful cooperation and gradually transfer to the younger generation, because they will be the leaders of the future."

With the expectation of being passed on, Party cell Secretary Nguyen Hong Hai has brought youthful energy with innovations and creativity to effectively serve the Party's work and the company's operations. As a transportation unit, some party members often have to go on business trips, making it difficult to gather for Party cell activities. Dai Tan Party cell is flexible in its activities, combining direct and online activities to suit the characteristics of transportation; at the same time, it is the core of innovation, promoting technical initiatives such as "hydraulic inverted tray" to help save costs, increase productivity, and ensure labor safety. The enterprise also pioneers digital transformation, equipping the fleet with AI cameras, applying delivery software to transparently manage the operating process.

Currently, Dai Tan Company continues to expand its business, preparing to put into operation a commercial service area, office, warehouse and logistics on a new land in Dao Vien ward with an area of over 4 hectares.

Over the past 27 years, the Party Cell of Dai Tan Company has always fulfilled its tasks well and excellently; it is a model Party organization in the non-state sector. "The success of the enterprise affirms that the Party Cell is the political heart, and Party members are exemplary flags", Secretary of Phu Lang Commune Party Committee Nguyen The Phiet affirmed.

Building the Party organization - Giving wings to great aspirations

Also carrying the “Party flame”, businessman Nguyen Duy Ha, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SBI Joint Stock Company, started his business in 2010 with numerous difficulties. “Starting with little capital and limited human resources, I both managed and directly marketed each business. It was the challenge that helped me realize: if you don’t dare to innovate, don’t dare to go ahead, you can’t create different values,” Mr. Ha shared.

With his courage and pioneering spirit, he gradually achieved success; in 2016, he was honored as one of the Top 10 outstanding young Vietnamese entrepreneurs - a milestone that opened a new development step for SBI.

Throughout his career journey, Ha devoted himself and strived to join the Party with the youthful ambition of "Joining the Party to practice and mature in awareness, discipline and ethics". Due to the nature of his work providing logistics services, he often sought partners far from home, so it was also difficult for Ha to strive to join the Party. In April 2022, when the company met the conditions to establish a Party cell, he proposed to the competent authority and was approved. "On June 24, 2024, I was admitted to the Party, a historic moment, recognizing 12 years of persistent efforts," he said emotionally.

Comrade Nguyen Van Trieu, Secretary of the Party Cell of SBI Company, said: “Comrade Ha always shows his aspiration and belief in the Party's ideals. As a Party member and business owner, Comrade Ha creates favorable conditions for the Party Cell to operate; always respects the collective, encourages the Party Cell to propagate and thoroughly grasp the Party's policies and State laws; discusses and contributes ideas to build resolutions on production and business leadership, builds sustainable development strategies and acts as a bridge to resolve the thoughts and aspirations of workers.”

With the Party's leadership, from the beginning with only 2 employees, SBI now has more than 250 employees, 200 transport vehicles, providing domestic and international logistics services to many major partners such as Canon, Foxconn, Luxshare-ICT... With the slogan "care beyond expectations", SBI strives to become one of the leading transportation and supply chain management and logistics service providers in Vietnam and has a brand in the world market. The head of SBI also said that he is starting to cooperate with major shipping lines in the world to serve goods in the Vietnamese market and the global import-export market.

As Vice President of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Investment and Startup Club, President of the Bac Ninh Province Automobile Transport Association, Party member Nguyen Duy Ha continues to promote the role of connecting businesses with Party committees and authorities, spreading the spirit of "entrepreneurs leading entrepreneurs", building a cohesive, humane and developing business community.

The stories of Mr. Tran Van Thu and Mr. Nguyen Duy Ha are two slices of the same stream - the stream of businessmen carrying the "fire of the Party". One used to drive a car in the midst of the fiery Truong Son mountain range, and now still has a steady hand on the wheel in the business world. One started a business in the 4.0 era, and is bringing Vietnamese transportation and logistics to the world. Two generations share the same belief and ideal of "keeping the fire of the Party, building business ethics, and building a sustainable career".
