Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee has just announced the decision of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman on personnel work.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province decided to accept and appoint Mr. Nguyen Duc Thoai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee - to hold the position of Deputy Chief Inspector of Hau Giang province, for a term of 5 years from September 8, 2023.
Previously, the Standing Committee of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee decided to discipline and remove Mr. Tang Minh Them from the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Inspectorate Party Cell for the 2020-2025 term.
On September 8, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province and relevant agencies and units held a meeting to consider disciplinary action against Mr. Tang Minh Them - Deputy Chief Inspector of the province.
Pursuant to the provisions of law, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1546 dated September 8, 2023 on disciplinary action by removing Mr. Tang Minh Them from the position of Deputy Chief Inspector of Hau Giang province.
The Inspection Committee of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee concluded that Mr. Tang Minh Them, in his role as Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell and Deputy Chief Inspector of the province, had not created internal solidarity, leading to public complaints against the inspection teams under his charge; coordination within the agency's leadership was not good; he was hot-tempered in exchanging and giving opinions to comrades and colleagues; and the progress of assigned tasks was slow.
At the same time, Mr. Them has not been exemplary in implementing the regulations of the Central and Provincial Party Committees on self-cultivation, training in ethics and lifestyle and things that party members are not allowed to do; although he has a wife and children, he has repeatedly gone to motels with married people and had video clips released on social networks, leading to denunciations and causing bad public opinion among cadres and party members; reporting dishonestly and evasively to conceal his shortcomings and violations.
