Faced with the situation of the blood bank at the Provincial General Hospital running out of blood type A, on September 25, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Ninh Binh province urgently called on volunteers with blood type A to donate blood to save lives.
Accordingly, more than 30 volunteers with blood type A from clubs, agencies, units and people in the province came to the Department of Hematology, Provincial General Hospital to donate blood urgently.
As a result, 31 units of blood group A were donated, promptly supplementing the blood bank not only at the Provincial General Hospital but also at many central hospitals, in the face of a local shortage of this blood group.
It is known that at present, at the Provincial General Hospital, there are 20 anemic patients waiting to receive blood type A. With the quick and timely mobilization of the Provincial Red Cross and the volunteer spirit of volunteers, there was enough blood needed for the patients waiting for blood.
With timely blood donations, especially blood groups that are locally scarce and suddenly scarce, many patients have overcome critical conditions, quickly responding to emergency and treatment needs for patients. This also demonstrates the role of the Red Cross in actively mobilizing, propagating, calling for the spirit of mutual love, spreading the good tradition of "loving others as you love yourself" among all classes of people.
