However, the surprise happened when the main referee suddenly ran out to talk to the assistant linesman. This assistant raised the offside flag, thinking that Quoc Viet was blocking the vision of the U22 Laos goalkeeper, when he actively jumped up to avoid the ball when Dinh Bac finished.
This decision caused an explosive reaction from all members of the Vietnamese team. Coach Kim Sang-sik initially just stood on the sidelines observing, but then could not control himself and argued fiercely with the referee team and received a yellow card.
After a period of deliberation, the referee firmly recognized the goal. The atmosphere then became less tense.
At the end of 90 minutes, U22 Vietnam beat U22 Laos with a score of 2-1. Dinh Bac was the author of U22 Vietnam's goals.
