Mr. Truong Viet Hoang has confirmed he will lead Da Nang FC in the 2023/2024 National First Division. The team's goal is to quickly return to the V-League in the 2024/2025 season. After Da Nang FC was officially relegated, coach Pham Minh Duc also said goodbye to the team.
The coaching position at Hoa Xuan Stadium has been constantly "heated" by rumors. Initially, Coach Trieu Quang Ha was rumored to be taking on this challenging task. Later, the Da Nang Club management placed their trust in Coach Vo Phuoc. However, he also had to decline due to health issues. Coach Phuoc agreed to be an assistant to Coach Truong Viet Hoang for the upcoming season.

In the past, Coach Truong Viet Hoang managed Hai Phong FC, Viettel FC, and Ho Chi Minh City FC. He won many titles, including the National Cup with Hai Phong FC and the V-League championship with Viettel FC. The former midfielder didn't build a flamboyant playing style for the teams he worked with. Instead, Coach Hoang knew how to ignite the fighting spirit in his players. At the same time, effectiveness was Coach Truong Viet Hoang's top priority.
In the 2023/2024 First Division season, the two contenders for direct promotion and a play-off spot are Da Nang FC and PVF-CAND FC. Both teams possess stable financial resources and some of the best personnel in the league.
As for Da Nang FC, they have just confirmed the departure of three foreign players along with two central defenders, Lieu Quang Vinh and Lam Anh Quang. Veteran midfielder Hoang Minh Tam is no longer in the team's plans. Key players who were highly sought after in the transfer market, such as Dang Anh Tuan, Phan Van Long, and Pham Cong Nhat, all have long-term contracts with the club.
Da Nang FC plans to promote several young players who recently played in the National Second Division to compete in the First Division. A few players currently on loan at Quang Nam FC will also return to Hoa Xuan Stadium.
