Support 48,000 USD for students and people in difficult circumstances

(CT) - On the evening of September 11, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Can Tho City held a closing ceremony for the "Humanitarian program of medical examination, treatment, dental treatment, giving scholarships, gifts, wheelchairs to students, people with disabilities and people in difficult circumstances" sponsored by Project Vietnam Foundation - USA (PVF).

During 4 days (from September 8 to September 11), the program was held in 4 communes: Thoi An Hoi, Dai Hai, Ke Sach, Nhon My. Doctors and volunteers of PVF examined, provided health consultation, and dispensed medicine to more than 2,300 people and students; presented 200 scholarships to students and families in difficult circumstances; presented 50 wheelchairs, 50 gifts of necessities to people with disabilities... The total value of support was about 48,000 USD.
