According to the CDC Da Nang , Hoi An area has 3 wards and 1 commune. The flooding situation in Hoi An ward is the most severe (deep and 100% flooded), followed by Hoi An Dong and Hoi An Tay wards (flooded about 50% of households)...

In the immediate future, CDC Da Nang will provide medical stations in the Hoi An area with 35 kg of Chloramine B and 5,000 Aquatabs water disinfectant tablets to give to people.

Thereby, it is recommended that localities focus on handling garbage and animal carcasses; instruct people to clean themselves; for now, if there is not enough Chloramine B, buy Javen or chlorine-based detergents for cleaning.

At the same time, strengthen communication on environmental sanitation and disease prevention according to the communication content provided by CDC.

The city CDC also established working groups to go to localities to provide water disinfection tablets to people as well as guide schools, hospitals, medical centers, and health stations to carry out environmental sanitation, clean domestic water sources, and spray disinfectants to limit common diseases that easily break out after rain and floods such as: pink eye, skin diseases, digestive diseases, diarrhea, etc., contributing to protecting people's health.
