On August 29, international media reported that Miss La Blanca 2024 - Alondra Marianela Hernández Pérez passed away at the age of 20 after a serious motorbike accident.

The accident occurred on the afternoon of August 26 on San Marcos Road (Quetzaltenango) - one of the most dangerous roads in Guatemala due to the high frequency of accidents.

According to Radio Punto journalist Julio Fuentes, Alondra was traveling to work on her motorbike when she suddenly lost control on a difficult road. Locals immediately came to her aid and took her to the nearest hospital in critical condition. Despite the efforts of doctors to save her, she did not survive and was confirmed dead on August 27.

The cause of the incident is currently under investigation, while many witnesses said she slipped due to the complex terrain but did not rule out the possibility of other factors.

Many colleagues, friends and fans expressed their deep condolences. A close friend of Alondra wrote: “It is hard to believe that you are gone at the age of 20. Thank you Alondra for the smiles you brought. May you rest in peace.”
