Nguyen Nhut Lam, a student from Cai Be High School ( Dong Thap province), won third prize in the final of the 25th season of "Road to Olympia" - a Vietnamese student intellectual competition.
On October 27th, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province sent a congratulatory letter to the student on this exceptionally outstanding achievement, expressing the great respect and pride of the leaders and people of the province.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, Tran Tri Quang, said that although Nhut Lam has not yet reached the highest position, in the hearts of the people of Dong Thap, he is already a true champion - with the knowledge, courage, and demeanor of a winner. Nhut Lam has demonstrated a serious learning spirit, unwavering resolve, and admirable determination.
"Her excellent English skills, outstanding memory, and the confidence and composure she displayed when facing challenges on the country's biggest intellectual competition have completely won the hearts of not only the people of Dong Thap but also left a deep impression on audiences nationwide."
Her achievement is even more significant as she was the only contestant not from a specialized high school to reach the final round. In the final round, Nguyen Nhut Lam left a strong impression on audiences nationwide. In particular, the student created a memorable moment by brilliantly answering a long and difficult English question in the final round. Nhut Lam's ability to listen and translate accurately, without a single mistake, impressed MC Khanh Vy. By choosing the "Star of Hope" option, this correct answer earned Nhut Lam an additional 60 valuable points, narrowing the score gap. At that point, Lam was only 25 points behind the leader, making the Olympia competition incredibly dramatic.
