Miss Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was one of eight outstanding individuals who were honored with the "Promising Young Vietnamese Face of 2024" award, within the framework of the Ceremony honoring 18 Outstanding and Promising Young Vietnamese Faces of 2024, jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund in Hanoi last night, March 23rd.
The awards ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , leaders of central ministries and agencies, the Central Committee of the Youth Union, and 18 outstanding and promising young people of 2024.
Miss Thanh Thuy shared: “I am very honored to be present at today's awards ceremony. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Youth Union - Student Association of Da Nang University, and the Da Nang City Youth Union for giving me the opportunity to be here. I am even more honored to be one of the individuals receiving the title of Promising Young Vietnamese Face of 2024. For me, this recognition gives me more motivation to contribute to society, the community, and the country.”
"Thuy believes she will use the remaining time of her reign as Miss International to promote the image and beauty of Vietnamese culture to international friends. As a young Vietnamese woman, Thuy always carries with her a thirst for knowledge, a spirit of learning, a desire for self-improvement, and above all, gratitude," Thanh Thuy expressed.
As part of the awards ceremony, Thanh Thủy and other outstanding and promising young people participated in meaningful activities such as offering incense at the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs, paying respects to President Ho Chi Minh, visiting the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, and receiving the "Enduring Passion" award. In particular, these outstanding individuals will have the opportunity to attend the Prime Minister's meeting and dialogue with youth in 2025, themed "Vietnamese Youth Pioneering the Development of Science and Technology, Innovation, and National Digital Transformation."
Previously, in 2024, Thanh Thủy was crowned Miss International. Besides that, she also made a strong impression with her community activities that have profound humanitarian value and meaning, such as bringing clean water projects to people, especially underprivileged children in Ben Tre. This was also the philanthropic project she brought to the competition.
She helped install a free water filtration system, donated 100 packages of essential goods, and organized medical check-ups and distributed nutritional supplements to the local community. The project also spread a message of sharing and love, contributing to improving the quality of life for the local people. After being crowned Miss International 2024, Thanh Thủy continues to actively participate in community activities.
Miss Thanh Thuy is also known for her role as the Tourism Ambassador of Da Nang City in 2025, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnamese tourism to international friends and developing tourism in her hometown. Furthermore, she was honored to receive the Asia Humanitarian Influencer Award 2025 during her trip to Sabah, Malaysia last March.
The "Promising Young Vietnamese Face" award is a prestigious award organized annually by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to honor young individuals with outstanding achievements and positive contributions to the development of the country in many fields: academics, creative scientific research, labor and production, national defense, security and order, sports, culture and arts, and social activities.
