Khanh Hoa Province Retired Teachers Association visited and gave gifts to members affected by floods

On December 2, the Association of Former Teachers of Khanh Hoa province organized two delegations to visit and give gifts to members in difficult circumstances who suffered losses in the recent floods in Dien Khanh, Nha Trang and the wards of Do Vinh, Phan Rang, and Ninh Chu.

At the members' homes, leaders of the Provincial Association of Former Teachers kindly visited them to inquire about their health, listened to their stories about the damage, and encouraged them to maintain their spirits, gradually overcome the consequences of natural disasters, and soon stabilize their lives.

The delegations presented members with support gifts (VND 1 million/person) to help members' families repair their houses and buy damaged items. At the same time, funds were transferred to the heads of the former teachers' associations in communes and wards to be distributed to members.

The total value of the first round of support is 295 million VND, drawn from the support fund of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of Former Teachers (35 million VND), the Association of Former Teachers of Thai Nguyen province (more than 285.7 million VND) and the contribution of members of the Association of Former Teachers of Khanh Hoa province.

In the coming time, the Provincial Association of Former Teachers will continue to deploy support campaigns for members affected by floods in other areas.
