Son La Provincial People's Council completed the 12th session, passing 23 important resolutions.

Delegates voted to pass resolutions at the 12th session of the 15th People's Council of Son La province.

The meeting comprehensively analyzed and evaluated the results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks and the state budget estimate for 2025. At the same time, it pointed out the limitations and causes and proposed key goals and solutions for 2026.

The People's Council of Son La province voted to pass 23 resolutions, such as: Resolution on socio-economic development plan; budget estimate and allocation for 2026; public investment plan; resolution on digital transformation; on culture and society; social security; ensuring national defense and security; administrative reform and improving local governance capacity... This is an important legal basis for Son La province to effectively implement tasks in 2026 and the following years.

The meeting was chaired and conducted by comrades Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Vi Duc Tho, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Nguyen Viet Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Son La Provincial People's Council.

The session also reviewed the report on monitoring the settlement of voters' petitions; approved the contents that the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee had resolved between the two sessions; and resolved to establish a delegation to monitor the implementation of policies and laws on practicing thrift and combating waste in the field of housing and land arrangement and investment in projects using land with non-budgetary capital.

At the meeting, the People's Council of Son La province simultaneously carried out the procedure to dismiss comrade Nguyen Viet Cuong from the position of Head of the Economic-Budget Committee to perform the new task of full-time Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Son La province.

To successfully implement the 2026 goals, the People's Council of Son La province also requested the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and localities to promptly concretize and implement the approved resolutions; ensuring progress, efficiency and compliance with legal regulations.

Attending the 12th session of the 15th People's Council of Son La province were comrade Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of Son La Provincial Party Committee and delegates.

One of the key tasks emphasized is to deploy preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The meeting also required all levels and sectors to thoroughly grasp the Central's direction, focus on personnel preparation, conduct good consultation, step up propaganda, ensure political security and social order, and promptly handle arising issues.

Focus on solutions to develop high-tech agriculture, renewable energy, and tourism; promote administrative reform, improve the investment environment; disburse public investment capital on schedule; improve the quality of education and health care; pay more attention to social security and sustainable poverty reduction.

Notably, the People's Council of Son La province has assigned the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council to draft a resolution on digital transformation in the activities of People's Councils at all levels in the 2026-2030 period to promote the construction of digital government, digital economy and digital society, overcoming current limitations in infrastructure and digital data.

In his closing speech, Comrade Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Son La province, emphasized: The meeting took place in an innovative and substantive atmosphere, closely following the development requirements of Son La province. Delegates reviewed, discussed and resolved on many important contents related to the socio-economic orientation in 2026 and the entire 2026-2031 term.

Comrade Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Son La province spoke at the 12th session of the People's Council of Son La province, term XV.

Comrade Lo Minh Hung requested that the People's Council Committees and People's Council delegates continue to innovate, strengthen supervision, stay close to the grassroots, grasp voters' thoughts and aspirations; promptly urge the settlement of people's legitimate petitions; increase questioning and explanation for areas and tasks that are slow to be implemented.

The Chairman of the People's Council of Son La province also called on the entire political system, voters and people of all ethnic groups in the province to promote solidarity and determination to successfully implement the 2026 goals, building Son La to develop rapidly and sustainably.
