According to the design, the canal system of Ban Lai irrigation project phase 2 has main items including: water pipeline system made of high-grade HDPE plastic pipes, fiberglass pipes with a total length of 32.8 km; 122 water intakes made of cement concrete; cement concrete road system for operation. The project investor is the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 1 (a unit under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ).

The "heart" of the project is the water pipeline system made of high-grade HDPE plastic pipes, fiberglass pipes and floating ditches. The system is designed to include two main branches on the right and left banks with 22 branch lines. The project started in 2024 and is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2025. The entire pipeline system is built underground, connected to 122 water intakes to serve agricultural production needs and other needs of the people. When the project is completed, the project will take water from Ban Lai Lake to provide irrigation water for more than 1,600 hectares of agricultural land in Khuat Xa and Na Duong communes and part of Mau Son commune.

Up to now, the entire main water canal on the left and right banks, more than 5.75 km long, has completed 100% of the volume; 20/22 branch lines with a length of 21.1/25.2 km of pipes of all kinds have completed construction and installation; 2 lines with a length of 4.1 km are under construction; the floating concrete canal branch is 1.8 km long and 102/122 water gates have been completed... The construction volume of the entire project by the end of October 2025 is estimated to reach 85% of the contract value.

Immediately after the project started in January 2024, the local government focused on site clearance. By the end of October 2025, the local government had handed over 16.1/16.42 hectares of land, equivalent to 98% of the area to be recovered (currently 3,200 m2 remain due to route adjustment, the site clearance process is being carried out).

Based on the handed-over site, contractors have focused on speeding up the construction and installation of items according to the motto "three shifts, four shifts" at the construction site. Surveying the actual construction site on November 1, 2025, we felt the urgent and hurried working atmosphere. Dai An Construction Joint Stock Company - the leading unit of the consortium of contractors, organized 6 production teams, mobilized 30 engineers, workers and 6 specialized vehicles and machines, 3 welding machines, 4 generators to construct the items.

Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Deputy Commander of Dai An Construction Joint Stock Company, said: Although the drizzly weather caused many difficulties in completing the unfinished works, the construction site command team still braved the rain, working side by side with the team of workers, technicians, and machine operators to maintain production at the construction site. Including 3 construction teams on the canal and 3 construction teams installing pipelines. Currently, the contractors are highly focused on speeding up the remaining items and completing the project in December 2025.

For the 7.2 km long road project serving management and operation, the construction unit is speeding up the completion of the roadbed project. Mr. Trieu Xuan Ha, Deputy Commander of Hung Vuong Construction Joint Stock Company - the unit in charge of constructing the roads, said: From May 2025 to the end of October 2025, heavy rain has greatly affected the construction of the roadbed, but the unit has proactively gathered enough materials and taken advantage of favorable weather to complete the roadbed according to the design. Currently, the unit has completed 2/7.2 km of crushed stone roadbed. From November 2025 onwards, the unit will focus on speeding up the construction progress of the roadbed and surface according to the design, striving to complete it in December 2025.

The biggest problem currently is that there are still 3,200 square meters of agricultural land belonging to 6 households in Khuat Xa commune due to disputes between people. Although the area is not large, if not resolved completely, it will affect the overall progress of the project, which is to be completed and put into operation in 2025.

Mr. Vi Van Phong, Chairman of Khuat Xa Commune People's Committee, said: Regarding the land area of households that have not been handed over, the Commune People's Committee has reviewed the area and origin of the land and has mobilized and persuaded households in dispute to resolve the dispute before November 15, 2025. Accordingly, in case households do not comply, the Commune People's Committee will transfer the compensation payment to a temporary account at the treasury and carry out the construction protection process.

Currently, it is the "golden" time to construct water pipeline installation items and project management and operation roads, therefore, Khuat Xa Commune People's Committee and related units urgently handle the site clearance so that contractors can focus on completing the project according to the set plan.
