Accordingly, in 2023, the Thanh Hoa Journalists Association continuously enhanced its leadership and management role in the Association's activities, focusing on strengthening the inspection and supervision of compliance with the 2016 Press Law; the 10 Articles on professional ethics and the Code of Conduct for the use of social media by Vietnamese journalists.
Overview of the conference
The Thanh Hoa Journalists Association currently has 5 branches and 1 affiliated club, including: the Thanh Hoa Newspaper Journalists Association; the Provincial Radio and Television Journalists Association; the Xứ Thanh Magazine Journalists Association; the Journalists Association of Central Press Agencies in the area; the Journalists Association Office Branch; and the Women Journalists Club. The total number of members is 366.
In 2023, the affiliated journalists' associations successfully completed their assigned tasks; the Association's activities saw many innovative changes, particularly focusing on professional training for members and journalists in the area, investing in high-quality journalistic works, participating in the National Press Conference and the 17th National Journalism Award in 2022 with high results, contributing to the successful completion of political and professional tasks in the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association and Thanh Hoa province.
The team of authors won the A Prize at the Tran Mai Ninh Journalism Awards 2022.
At the same time, training and professional development programs are given attention to enhance the political acumen and professional skills of journalist members in the area.
During the year, the Thanh Hoa Journalists Association organized two training courses on journalistic skills: "Reporting, providing, and processing journalistic information in the field of security and order" and "Skills in organizing and operating a newsroom in the context of convergence and integration".
The Central Journalists Association branch in Thanh Hoa coordinated the organization of a charitable program.
Regular monitoring and inspection of compliance with the 2016 Press Law; the 10 Articles on Professional Ethics; the Code of Conduct for Vietnamese Journalists on Social Media Use; and the compliance of members and journalists in the area with the Association's Charter are conducted. Generally, members at all levels of the association comply well, with no cases of disciplinary action being considered.

To meet the demands of journalistic activities in the new conditions, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Journalists Association Pham Van Bau said that the Association will proactively coordinate with relevant agencies and focus on effectively implementing training and professional development in politics, skills, and professional ethics for its members.
On this occasion, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Journalists Association launched the second "Beauty of Thanh Hoa Journalists" photo contest in 2024 and awarded prizes to collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results in performing their duties in 2023.
