From May 2nd to 5 PM on May 10th, students currently in 12th grade will officially register online for the 2024 High School Graduation Examination.

According to regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training , all candidates who are 12th-grade students in the 2023-2024 school year must register online through the Ministry's exam management system at: http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn. Independent candidates can register in person at designated registration points specified by the Department of Education and Training. The deadline for registering for the 2024 high school graduation exam is 5 PM on May 10th.
According to Mr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Quality Management Department of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry will not organize separate registration streams for the exam; candidates nationwide can register for the 2024 high school graduation exam together.
The online registration portal for the 2024 high school graduation exam is open for 9 days; however, in recent years, candidates have completed their online registration within the first 5-6 days. The Ministry of Education and Training is always online with its technical team to support the Departments of Education and Training and high schools during the registration period.
Independent candidates can register for the exam in person at the units designated by the Department of Education and Training. The registration deadline is 5 PM on May 10, 2024.
The Ministry of Education and Training notes that before filling out the exam registration form, candidates must carefully read all sections and instructions for filling out the form. If any points are unclear, candidates should ask the registration officer for full guidance.
Candidates currently in 12th grade must register for the exam online using the account provided on the exam management software system. After the review and confirmation are completed within the specified registration deadline, the high school where the candidate is studying will print the Exam Registration Form, Form No. 1, Form No. 2, and sign and stamp a seal with a overlapping section on the photo of the Exam Registration Form to verify the candidate's identity.
Candidates should pay attention to several sections of the exam registration form, such as section 5 (place of residence). The province/city code; district/county code; and commune/ward code are only for communes/wards in Zone 1 and will be determined by the Ministry of Education and Training. Candidates need to check at the exam registration location to correctly enter the province/city code; district/county code; and commune/ward code of their current place of residence into the corresponding boxes. Candidates who do not have a place of residence in a Zone 1 commune should leave the commune code box blank. After filling in all the administrative unit codes in the boxes, candidates should clearly write the name of the commune/ward; district/county; province/city in the blank line. For candidates eligible for priority based on their place of residence, they must confirm that they have resided in Zone 1 for more than 18 months or in a particularly disadvantaged commune or commune with particularly disadvantaged villages during their high school years by marking the corresponding box.

For candidates who are police officers or military personnel sent to take the entrance exam for university or teacher training college, the code should correspond to the province/city where they are stationed, and the code for the high school should be 900. For candidates who have studied abroad, the code should correspond to the province/city where they reside in Vietnam, and the code for the high school should be 800.
For candidates wishing to be exempt from the Foreign Language exam, they must clearly state the type of certificate that qualifies them for exemption or state that they are members of the national team participating in the International Foreign Language Olympiad as regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training. For certificates that include exam scores (total exam score), candidates must enter the score in the "Exam Score" box.
After successful registration, from May 11th to 17th, all candidates must use their assigned account and password to log into the exam management system at http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn to check their registration information, report any errors, and request approval of priority status documents (if any) to the registration unit.
The 2024 High School Graduation Examination will take place from June 26-29. The results are expected to be announced at 8:00 AM on July 17. Following this, localities will proceed with the graduation assessment for exam-taking students and use the graduation exam results for university and college admissions according to the enrollment plan.
