More than 10,000 Hung Yen officials and teachers participate in AI application training

GD&TĐ - On September 13, the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen organized a training conference on AI application for officials and teachers of primary education institutions.

This is one of the key activities of the Hung Yen education sector to implement Plan 846 on organizing training on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for managers and teachers of general education institutions and vocational education and training centers in 2025.

The training session was organized directly at the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen and connected online to 460 points at primary education institutions, with the participation of over 10,000 primary school officials and teachers in the whole province.

At the training session, cadres and teachers were informed about the policies and guidelines of the Party and State; and instructions from all levels on the application of information technology, digital transformation, and application of artificial intelligence in management, teaching, testing, and evaluation.

Also at the training session, staff and teachers were researched, trained and guided to practice using some AI applications in the classroom: overview of AI and generative AI; skills in writing "Prompt" (commands to communicate with AI); how to use ChatGPT, Gemini; design professional PowerPoint with AI; convert text, images into videos; convert text into videos, into audio; compose music, make videos to illustrate songs...

Sharing with Education and Times Newspaper, Dr. Nguyen Viet Huy (Deputy Head of General Education Department, Hung Yen Department of Education and Training) said that, implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo on orientation for science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, the Department has developed a training plan on applying artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching management, testing and assessment for all levels of education.

“In recent times, the teaching staff has actively participated in training programs organized by the Ministry and Department. Many schools have even proactively invited prestigious reporters to organize internal training sessions. According to our assessment, this activity has been carried out systematically and has initially brought positive results,” Mr. Huy assessed.

In May, the Department organized training for preschool level, and today, for primary level. From now until the end of September, the Department will continue to organize training sessions for middle and high school levels.
