According to Xinhua, the movement admitted on March 21 to attacking an Israeli military target in the southern Tel Aviv area with a ballistic missile. Earlier, the Israeli army announced that it had intercepted a missile launched from Yemen toward Israeli territory.

The Houthi movement has repeatedly fired missiles towards Israel in an act of solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, tensions between the Houthis and the US military have also escalated as Washington launched new airstrikes in Yemen over the weekend.

Al Masirah TV, a media outlet for the Houthi forces in Yemen, said the US carried out at least four airstrikes on the Al Mina district of Hodeidah city, home to the Houthi seaport and naval headquarters. These airstrikes by Washington were in response to Houthi attacks on ships and boats in the Red Sea.

Regarding developments in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army announced the resumption of ground operations in the Rafah area, southern Gaza Strip, while continuing to maintain operations in many other areas of this territory.

On March 20, Hamas fired a series of rockets at a shopping mall in Tel Aviv, marking the group's first military response after Israel resumed airstrikes on Gaza on March 18.
