According to Xinhua News Agency, the movement admitted on March 21 that it had attacked an Israeli military target in the southern Tel Aviv area with a ballistic missile. Earlier, the Israeli army announced that it had intercepted a missile launched from Yemen toward Israeli territory.

The Houthi movement has repeatedly fired missiles at Israel in a show of solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, tensions between the Houthis and the US military have also escalated as Washington launched new airstrikes in Yemen last weekend.

Al Masirah TV, a media unit for the Houthi forces in Yemen, said that the US carried out at least four airstrikes on Al Mina district in Hodeidah city, where the Houthi seaport and naval headquarters are located. These airstrikes by Washington were in response to Houthi attacks on ships and boats in the Red Sea.

Regarding developments in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army announced the resumption of ground operations in the Rafah area, southern Gaza Strip, while continuing to maintain operations in many other areas of this territory.

On March 20, Hamas fired a series of rockets at a shopping mall in Tel Aviv, marking the force's first military response after Israel resumed airstrikes on Gaza on March 18.
