Hamas unexpectedly spoke about the possibility of a permanent ceasefire . Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said the group is ready to accept a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip that aligns with the principles of President Biden's plan.

In a televised address on the occasion of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, Haniyeh stated that Hamas and Palestinian factions were ready for a comprehensive agreement including a ceasefire, withdrawal of troops from Gaza, reconstruction of destroyed infrastructure, and a comprehensive agreement on the exchange of hostages and detainees.

Mr. Haniyeh affirmed that Hamas had demonstrated "a high degree of seriousness and flexibility" in reaching an agreement to stop the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Hamas leader, the group's response to the latest proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza is consistent with the principles outlined in President Biden's plan.

Houthi forces claim responsibility for attacks on US warships . They announced they launched missiles at a US destroyer and a cargo ship in the Red Sea, and used drones to attack another vessel in the Arabian Sea.

" Missile and naval units launched two operations in the Red Sea, including a ballistic missile strike targeting a US destroyer ," Houthi spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced.

Houthi forces also launched a barrage of anti-ship missiles at the cargo ship Captain Paris in the Red Sea, and used drones to attack the cargo ship Happy Condor in the Arabian Sea, which the group claimed "violated the ban on docking" in Israel.

Israel warns of escalating tensions with Hezbollah . Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Daniel Hagari warned that ongoing clashes between his forces and Hezbollah could have "serious consequences for the region."

" Hezbollah is increasing the frequency of attacks against Israel. Since the war with Hamas broke out, Hezbollah has launched more than 5,000 missiles and drones in the Lebanese border region. This escalation of tensions by the organization could have serious consequences for Lebanon and the region ," Hagari said.

An IDF spokesperson emphasized that the Israeli army will take all measures to protect the people until security is restored at the border with Lebanon.

Israel is embroiled in conflict over the ceasefire . Prime Minister Netanyahu criticized the Israeli military for the tactical ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has criticized the Israeli military's announcement of a daily tactical ceasefire along a key route into the Gaza Strip, aimed at facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid.

" When the Prime Minister learned about the tactical ceasefire plan that morning, he told the military that it was unacceptable ," an Israeli official revealed.

Local media reported that the military's decision apparently had not been presented to the cabinet, and it had displeased some officials. The military subsequently assured Prime Minister Netanyahu that the military operation in Rafah would continue.

" We are a country with an army, not a military regime running the state ," Netanyahu said.
