Hung Yen synchronously deploys solutions to build drug-free communes and wards

(PLVN) - Implementing the Government's Project on building a "drug-free commune" in the period of 2025 - 2030, Hung Yen Provincial Police have been implementing many strong measures, focusing on tightening local management, fighting drug crimes and raising public awareness. This is considered a key task to ensure social order and safety, and maintain peace at the grassroots level.

Recently, in some areas of the province, the situation of illegal drug trading, storage and use is still complicated, causing instability in people's lives. In response to this reality, the Provincial Police Department has directed professional forces to coordinate with the police of communes and wards to launch many key attacks, promptly detecting and handling serious cases. Since the beginning of the year, the whole province has discovered 1,225 cases, arrested 1,676 drug-related subjects; prosecuted 738 cases with 992 defendants; seized a total of 3.93 kg of various drugs. Many drug supply lines to industrial parks and residential areas have been destroyed, contributing to reducing the risk of crime.

Along with the fight, the grassroots police force has increased patrols, controls, and coordinated with residential groups and organizations to closely manage the area, promptly detecting unusual signs. In industrial zones - where many migrant workers are concentrated - the commune and ward police have coordinated with businesses and landlords to organize inspections, propaganda, and support in identifying drug-related risks, thereby limiting the formation of complex gathering places.

In order to enhance the community's initiative, Hung Yen Provincial Police have promoted the dissemination of laws on drug prevention and control in various forms. The whole province has organized 348 direct dissemination sessions for 9,905 people; conducted 3,451 dissemination sessions via the radio system with 605 radio broadcasts; printed and distributed 1,473 banners and 79,190 leaflets in schools, businesses and residential areas. Thematic activities at schools and industrial parks help young people and workers clearly understand the tricks of luring and seducing criminals, thereby proactively preventing them.

Along with prevention, Hung Yen focuses on drug addiction support and post-rehab management. At drug addiction treatment facilities, students receive medical advice, legal education and vocational training, creating a foundation for reintegration into the community. Commune and ward police coordinate with local authorities to monitor and support post-rehab patients, limiting relapse - one of the causes of crime.

With synchronous solutions from fighting, preventing to propagating and supporting addicts, the program of building a "drug-free commune" in Hung Yen is gradually creating clear changes. The determination of the police force, together with the active participation of people and businesses, is an important foundation for building a safe and healthy living environment, moving towards the goal of drastically reducing drug abuse in the province.
