Towards Workers' Month 2025

“Vietnamese workers pioneering into a new era” is the theme of Workers’ Month 2025. The event was launched simultaneously with the 2025 Occupational Safety and Health Action Month with the theme “Strengthening assessment, identification of risks and proactive implementation of measures to ensure occupational safety and health (OSH) at the workplace”, which will be a series of in-depth activities, ensuring practicality towards union members and workers.

According to the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL), this year's Workers' Month and the Month of Action on OSH take place at a time when the whole country is organizing many important political events. Therefore, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor requires all levels of unions in the province to combine propaganda and organize activities with focus and key points. At the same time, the organization activities must be suitable to the labor and production conditions of the locality, unit, and enterprise, attracting the participation of all levels, sectors, organizations, media agencies, enterprises and workers. Strive for 100% of grassroots unions in all types of enterprises to have at least 1 response activity; 100% or more of grassroots unions in administrative agencies and public service units to have at least 1 appropriate activity in response to the Workers' Month.

Promote propaganda work to highlight the significance of the contents celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); propaganda to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday; propaganda to raise awareness of union members and workers about Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 12th Provincial Party Congress, the 14th National Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030; opportunities and challenges in the current period... Continue to widely propagate the Trade Union Law (focusing on 10 newly added points), the Social Insurance Law 2024. Organize competitions, invite experts to advise and answer questions; create short clips and infographics to help workers easily access policies and laws.

Focus on taking care of union members and workers' material and spiritual life during workers' month

Deploy key activities of Workers' Month in a flexible and practical manner, such as: Program "Creative workers, confidently entering the new era" with the activity "Creative Labor Festival 2025"; competitions to propose ideas, initiatives, technical solutions to innovate production processes; save raw materials, fuel, time, labor; new methods, good models in modern enterprise management; honor and commend workers with achievements in labor - production...

Along with that, trade unions at all levels will organize the program "Dialogue in May" and the forum "Party with Workers - Workers with the Party" to listen to and solve workers' problems; the program "Thanking Workers" with activities to care for, support, and show gratitude to workers; praising workers for their efforts to overcome difficulties, exemplary workers, and workers with seniority; organizing sightseeing, vacations, and meetings with workers' families; "Cultural and Sports Festival" and "Union Meal"...

The Provincial Federation of Labor will focus on implementing the Workers' Month in a way that ensures depth and practical activities, such as: Coordinating with the Department of Home Affairs to organize the Launching Ceremony at Binh Hoa Industrial Park. Organizing a Conference to honor exemplary workers in studying and following the examples of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton. It is expected that at the launching ceremony, the Provincial Federation of Labor will present 3 Trade Union Shelters, and the Trade Unions of the provincial industrial parks will present 150 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, worth 500,000 VND/gift. Activities taking place in May will be coordinated with the enterprise's grassroots trade unions to organize immediately after the launch...

May is also the month when trade unions at all levels focus on developing union members, establishing grassroots unions; introducing outstanding union members to the Party for consideration, training and admission. The Provincial Federation of Labor also directs the provincial industrial park unions and grassroots unions with a large number of workers to organize the "May Dialogue" program at enterprises and organize training on occupational safety and health, provide guidance on employee health care; prevent and combat occupational diseases; share information on occupational safety and health to trade unions at all levels. In particular, organize a summary of 10 years of implementing the Law on Occupational Safety and Health at all levels of trade unions... Organize timely commendation and rewards for union members and workers with initiatives and solutions to improve techniques, improve working conditions, increase labor productivity...

An Giang currently has 116,059 union members, operating in 1,481 grassroots unions and trade unions. Every year, the provincial trade unions at all levels actively advise the Party Committee, coordinate with the government and business owners to organize increasingly diverse and practical activities aimed at improving the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; the content is increasingly innovative, improving the quality and increasing in quantity. Over 20,000 union members and workers enjoy the benefits brought by the trade union during the Workers' Month.
