According to Notice No. 413, dated December 2 of the Provincial People's Committee on waste treatment after floods in the wards: North Nha Trang, West Nha Trang, South Nha Trang, the Provincial People's Committee requested Nha Trang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company to urgently coordinate with the People's Committees of the wards to conduct inspections and statistics on the volume of remaining waste, thereby identifying and delimiting specific areas; closely coordinate with supporting units in the area to develop a plan to hire vehicles to collect, transport and treat waste in localities in a quick, scientific and effective manner; strive to complete the treatment of all waste generated after floods, bringing activities back to normal before December 7.

At the same time, wards in Nha Trang area continue to direct and mobilize local socio-political organizations to coordinate in propaganda and mobilization work to encourage people to promptly collect and dump waste at the right collection points so that the collection unit can transport it promptly, not allowing untreated waste to accumulate for a long time.

Regarding waste treatment after floods in Dien Khanh and Dien Dien communes, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to continue negotiations and send documents to transport businesses and other enterprises that are supporting Dien Khanh and Dien Dien communes to continue coordinating with localities to provide support until December 6.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to urgently issue a document requesting garbage collection units in Nam Khanh Hoa ward, Cam Ranh area, Ninh Hoa area, Van Ninh area to have a plan to support vehicles, equipment, and human resources for garbage collection and transportation in accordance with the actual situation of the localities. At the same time, instruct these units to supplement the expenses arising during the implementation process to synthesize and coordinate with the Department of Finance to appraise and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration of additional funding in accordance with regulations; monitor and urge the support units in the two communes of Dien Khanh and Dien Dien to concentrate vehicles, equipment, and human resources to the localities before 9:00 a.m. on December 4.

The Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committees of the wards: North Nha Trang, West Nha Trang, South Nha Trang and the People's Committees of the communes: Dien Khanh, Dien Dien to strengthen inspection, supervision, and strictly handle violations of environmental protection regulations, especially littering that further pollutes the environment after floods. After returning to normal, it is necessary to continue to propagate and mobilize people to commit and voluntarily and actively maintain environmental hygiene in their homes, alleys, residential areas, and public areas. In addition, promptly commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in cleaning up and sanitation after floods; at the same time, receive and promptly handle reports of shortcomings and inadequacies in environmental sanitation work to take remedial measures.

Relevant departments, branches, sectors, localities and waste collection and treatment units in the province coordinate closely to effectively implement the instructions of the Provincial People's Committee in this notice, and at the same time identify this as an important political task that needs to be focused on.
