With the drastic participation of all levels, sectors and the police force, the traffic accident situation in Dak Doa district has decreased significantly in all 3 criteria. Accordingly, since the beginning of the year, the whole district has had 10 traffic accidents, killing 5 people and injuring 8 people. Compared to the same period in 2023, there were 17 fewer cases, 6 fewer deaths and 9 fewer injuries.

One of the key solutions that local authorities and the police force in the district have vigorously implemented in recent times is to stick to villages and hamlets to make a list of bad teenagers who often show signs of harassment and disrupting traffic order and safety to put them under management, monitor, call, educate, and deter them individually. Thereby minimizing the risk of traffic accidents involving this group of people.

After being taken to the district police station by the Traffic Police and Order to be handled for causing traffic disorder, Prum (born in 2008, residing in Bia Bre village, Ia Pet commune) said: “I listened to my friends' invitation, so I took my family's car to illegally race. When the police analyzed, I found that my behavior of driving at high speed, weaving, and driving while underage was very dangerous, with the potential risk of causing traffic accidents. I promise from now on I will not repeat the offense again.”

Along with promoting the dissemination of traffic safety regulations, the District Police also mobilized forces and vehicles to carry out a peak period of patrolling, controlling and handling violations that are the main causes of traffic accidents. Since the beginning of the year, Dak Doa District Police have detected and recorded 1,508 cases of administrative violations of traffic safety, temporarily detained 594 vehicles, and issued on-the-spot fines for 572 cases. On the other hand, through patrolling and controlling, the District Police force also combined propaganda and reminded 2,044 people to drive safely and strictly comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Law; distributed 1,139 leaflets to drivers participating in traffic.

Major Nguyen Thi Thu Vinh - Head of the Traffic Police and Order Team (Dak Doa District Police) said: In recent times, the District Police force has focused on the work of calling, educating, and deterring individual teenagers who frequently violate traffic safety regulations. The team has coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to bring the violating teenagers to the public for review. At the same time, the team has coordinated with families and organizations and associations at the grassroots level to participate in managing these subjects.

“In the coming time, the District Police will actively advise the local Party Committee and authorities to mobilize all levels and sectors to work together to propose solutions suitable to the actual situation of each locality. In the propaganda work, we will focus on each village, each group of subjects, especially focusing on the group of ethnic minority youth and the age group that often violates the law and causes accidents. In addition, we will strengthen patrols, control, and handle the topics of alcohol concentration, speed, overloading, and driving on the wrong side of the road and lane to continue to control traffic accidents,” Major Vinh added.

In addition, from information and images provided by people via social networks, the District Police force has handled many cases of traffic safety violations, thereby strongly affecting the awareness of traffic participants. The application of cold fines has actively supported the Traffic Police force in performing its duties; promptly detecting and strictly handling violations according to the provisions of the law.

With the drastic and effective participation of departments, branches, organizations, Party committees and local authorities, there has been a clear change in the work of ensuring traffic safety and order in Dak Doa district. "To control and reduce traffic accidents, the Traffic Police force of the District Public Security will continue to step up patrols, combine disguises, record images of violations to impose fines on traffic safety violators. Coordinate with families, schools and localities to have measures to educate and deter young people and students to create a positive change in compliance with the Road Traffic Law" - Major Vinh emphasized.
