Also attending were representatives of departments, branches, vocational training facilities and companies investing and doing business in industrial park infrastructure in the area.
At the conference, Mr. Le Tien Tri - Head of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board emphasized that this conference aims to realize the goal and commitment of "5 readiness" in improving the environment and attracting investment in the province. Accordingly, with positive results in attracting FDI in the past 3 years, the results and position of Nghe An on the investment map have changed significantly, ranking among the localities with the largest scale of investment attraction in the country. Therefore, one of the important issues that needs to be solved is to ensure adequate supply of labor for enterprises in the industrial park. Accordingly, in the period from 2025 - 2030, from 90,000 to 100,000 workers are needed.
Speaking at the conference, Prof. Dr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training highly appreciated the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board's coordination with the Department to organize the Conference on connecting training and labor supply for industrial parks. However, representatives of the provincial Department of Education and Training also boldly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in attracting and using labor in industrial parks in the area in recent times.
Therefore, localities, educational and vocational training establishments must pay attention to improving the quality of training and vocational skills; training the sense of discipline for students and workers. On the part of enterprises, there must be sustainable solutions, increasing income for workers to compete to attract capable and highly skilled workers to work and stay long-term; at the same time, attract labor from other provinces to Nghe An industrial parks.
At the conference, representatives of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, the Department of Education and Training and representatives of companies investing in industrial park infrastructure presented the needs, targets and some orientations for labor recruitment in the coming time for schools to refer to in building programs, training framework content, sending students to practice at factories, training support policies, student management...
Concluding the conference, the leaders of the two conference hosts received opinions and suggestions, and provided directions to improve the quality of vocational training; strengthen connection and training cooperation between the three parties, including: the State, schools and enterprises in the coming time.
On this occasion, the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone and the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An organized the signing of a program to coordinate training and recruitment of workers in economic zones and industrial parks for the period 2025-2030.
On this occasion, 5 enterprises signed agreements with universities, colleges and intermediate schools in the province on cooperation programs in training and providing human resources for each unit in the period 2025-2030./.
