Night flights to Ho Chi Minh City are free or discounted for room rates.

On July 15, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism announced that in an effort to optimize its fleet and service personnel, helping to cool down airfares during peak season, the unit, together with Vietnam Airlines and travel agencies in Ho Chi Minh City, has joined hands to launch a campaign to promote the use of night flights.

The program aims to meet the increasing travel needs of people during the peak summer season of 2024 and is also an activity to stimulate tourism in the city, attracting more tourists.

Specifically, Vietnam Airlines encourages tourist accommodation establishments to participate in building product packages combining air tickets at reasonable prices, especially for flights departing before 6am and after 9pm.

Participating accommodations will receive a free or 80% discount on the first night, subject to a minimum stay of 3 nights.

As of July 8, Ho Chi Minh City recorded 16 tourist accommodation establishments in the area registering to participate with different discounts, from 20% to 100%. Of which, Dong Khanh Hotel reduced 100% of the first night's room rate, from the second night, it charged 100% of the room rate.

Another centrally located hotel is The Myst Hotel, which offers a 49% discount on the first night's room rate, and a 53% discount on the second night, including breakfast buffet and mini afternoon tea buffet every day from 2pm to 4pm, free use of pool, gym, sauna and steam bath...

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, based on the registration of 16 units, Vietnam Airlines will proactively contact and work to build combo packages including round-trip air tickets and 2 or 3 nights of hotel accommodation in the area, to attract more tourists in 2024.

Recently, some localities such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hanoi ... have also experimented with increasing night flights and linking with accommodation facilities to attract tourists, especially during peak season.

However, most mainly offer promotional packages on room rates and spa services or combine night flights but on a smaller scale.

Muong Thanh Luxury Saigon Hotel: 45% discount on the first night's room rate, from the second night the listed price applies, free one-way airport transfer by 7-seat car between 10am and 10pm on check-out day, with a minimum stay of 3 nights.

Liberty Central Saigon Hotel System with 3 locations: Riverside, Citypoint, Centre applies 50% discount on first night room rate, from the 2nd night onwards, the listed price applies.

A25 hotel system (6 locations) has 2 promotional packages: 2-day, 2-night stay package with 50% discount on the first night's room rate and 20% discount on the second night;

3 days 3 nights accommodation package with 70% discount on the first night and 20% discount from the second night.
