On the afternoon of February 4th, Mr. Tran Thanh Viet, Head of the Planning Department of the new Eastern Bus Station, stated that as of now, the station has sold 47,313 tickets, with 6,687 tickets remaining.
Currently, sleeper bus tickets are sold out for several routes such as Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Quy Nhon, Phu Yen , An Nhon, Nha Trang, and Cam Ranh for the period from December 21st to December 28th (lunar calendar).
However, transport companies are still increasing the number of seated buses to serve passengers. On the last days of the year, such as the 29th and 30th of the lunar calendar, if passengers need sleeper buses, the station will still arrange buses to serve them.

According to Mr. Viet, on peak days when sleeper buses are unavailable, passengers can use high-quality seated buses to travel to and from the new Eastern Bus Station in various provinces and cities.
Specifically, the routes to Phu Yen and Binh Dinh provinces have not been operating effectively. According to the new Eastern Bus Station, on February 3rd, only 16 buses departed with 501 passengers.
The cause is due to vehicles deviating from their designated routes, taking advantage of the route from the old Eastern Bus Station (Binh Thanh District) to Binh Duong , but in reality, the vehicles were transporting passengers from the old Eastern Bus Station to Phu Yen and Binh Dinh.
This creates unfair competition among transport companies and affects transport order. The terminal has now petitioned the authorities to address this situation.
Passengers board the bus at the new Eastern Bus Station.
At the old Eastern Bus Station (Binh Thanh District), a representative said that sleeper bus tickets for routes to the Central Highlands such as Kon Tum , Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, etc., have all been sold out. Only seated tickets and additional buses remain. Bookings for December 26th, 27th, and 28th (lunar calendar) reached approximately 99%, while other days saw bookings around 90%.
The Western Bus Station is expected to serve more than 782,000 passengers departing during the 10 days before and after Tet (Lunar New Year). Station leaders stated that they will ensure security and order, as well as traffic safety inside and outside the station.
