Inauguration of the 800 billion VND sand and quartz processing factory expansion project in Hue

This is one of the key projects of Hue City on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945 - 2025), welcoming the 17th Hue City Party Congress (2025 - 2030).

The HPS factory processes high-quality low-iron quartz sand and powder, invested by Hue Premium Silica Company Limited (HPS) - a member of Viet Phuong Group, with an area of 7.3 hectares. The project has an area of 7.3 hectares, with an initial product capacity of 440,000 tons/year (from 2023).

After upgrading the new production line, the total main product capacity of the entire factory reaches 880,000 tons/year. The project has a total investment of 800 billion VND, located at Bac Trieu Vinh Residential Group, Phong Thai Ward, Hue City.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Nguyen, Project Director - Hue Premium Silica Co., Ltd. said that after being approved by the Hue City People's Committee, the investor and related agencies and units have implemented and completed all project items in accordance with the requirements of the construction permit.

In addition, during the project implementation process, the investor has also received attention from local sectors and levels, creating favorable conditions to support and promote the progress of completing the project's legal procedures, helping the project to be completed on schedule as expected.

“The project was implemented from November 2024, and by the end of August 2025, all construction and installation of production lines and equipment had been completed, ensuring technical, environmental, labor safety and quality requirements,” said Mr. Nguyen Anh Nguyen.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Phan Quy Phuong assessed that the project not only marked a breakthrough in the scale of Hue Premium Silica Factory, but also affirmed the pioneering position of Vietnam's silica industry in the international market. This is also a typical project of Hue City in the strategy of increasing deep processing, participating in the global silica value chain, contributing to realizing the goal of developing green industry associated with sustainable development.

“The HPS factory's expansion of the high-quality low-iron sand and quartz powder processing line will enhance the local industrial production capacity, create products with high added value, increase employment, contribute to the budget, and become an important driving force to promote the city's socio -economic development in the new period,” said Vice Chairman Phan Quy Phuong.

Vice President Phan Quy Phuong also requested Hue Premium Silica Company to continue to mobilize maximum resources, ensure safe - efficient - sustainable production; comply with environmental standards, save energy. At the same time, prioritize recruiting and training local workers, gradually increase the localization rate, transparency in management and closely coordinate with authorities to promptly remove difficulties.
