According to the preliminary results of the 2026 military service examination, the whole province recorded 542 voluntary applications from 65 communes and wards, double that of 2025. The voluntary application movement took place vigorously in many localities, typically: Na Sam commune (23 applications), Van Lang commune (22 applications), Na Duong commune (21 applications)... This impressive number is the synchronous participation of Party committees, authorities and organizations, the core of which is military agencies at all levels.

Colonel Mai Xuan Phong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council (NVQS) said: 2026 is the first year that military recruitment will be carried out after implementing two-level local government and dissolving the District Military Command. . This is a major change, placing higher demands on leadership and management. To ensure success, early on, the Provincial Military Service Council organized a conference to deploy and assign specific tasks. . The volunteer applications are clear evidence of the participation of the entire political system and the consensus of the people. The pioneering spirit of the youth has contributed to improving the quality of military recruitment, directly strengthening the strength of the defense areas.

One of the "extended arms" actively participating in propaganda and ideal education for young people is the Youth Union. In Quoc Khanh commune, during this year's military recruitment, there were 19 volunteer applications for military service in the commune, which is a clear proof of this. Ms. Luu Thi Mai, Secretary of the Youth Union of Quoc Khanh commune, shared: We identify ideological education and patriotism for union members and young people as a key task. The commune's Youth Union has proactively coordinated with relevant units to organize activities on resources, youth projects, youth volunteers... In particular, we have promoted propaganda on social networking platforms that young people often use, introducing examples of good people and good deeds in the military. Thanks to that, many young people, even 12th grade students, have proactively learned and written volunteer applications very early.

The story of Trieu Xuan Thanh, Na Xom village, Loi Bac commune is an example.
