Telegram directing focused response to storm No. 13

QNgTV- On the morning of November 5, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province Nguyen Hoang Giang signed Official Dispatch No. 07/CD-UBND directing the focus on responding to storm No. 13.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Heads of departments, branches, sectors, Secretaries, Chairmen of People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones to monitor and grasp the developments of storms and floods, and regularly update the situation in the locality. Focus on leading, directing, reviewing plans, and being ready to immediately deploy measures to prevent, avoid, and respond to storms and floods after storms with the motto "proactively from early on, from afar", with the most determined spirit, anticipating the worst scenario, deploying measures to prevent, avoid, and respond at the highest level to absolutely ensure the safety of people's lives, limit damage to property of the people and the State, and not be passive or surprised in any situation.

Request local authorities to deploy evacuation plans according to the established plans for households living in dangerous areas such as low-lying areas, deep flooded areas along rivers and streams and unsafe houses (corrugated iron roofs, weak houses). The evacuation must be completed before 1:00 p.m. tomorrow (November 6). Locations identified as concentrated evacuation points (such as schools) must be checked for safety before evacuating people. The consistent goal is to avoid loss of human life and minimize property damage.

Units and localities need to organize pruning of tree branches at risk of breaking or falling, especially urban trees and large trees near houses in rural areas, to ensure the safety of people's houses and infrastructure works. Organize reinforcement of agency headquarters, schools, medical stations and notify, guide and support people to reinforce their houses to ensure safety when natural disasters occur. Agency headquarters, warehouses, vehicles, equipment and assets at agencies and units must be secured and protected. This work must be completed before 1:00 p.m. tomorrow (November 6) to proactively respond to bad weather developments.

Urgently harvest crops and livestock that are ready for harvest and take measures to prevent storms for crops and livestock that are being cared for to minimize damage. Ly Son special zone must organize measures to ensure the safety of people, property, and tourists remaining in the area (if any).

Announce the hotline phone number of the Commune People's Committee and the positions of the Commune People's Committee: Chairman, Vice Chairman, Head of Military Command, Chief of Police, Head of Economic/Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department for the people in the area to know. Proactively sign principle contracts on expected additional human resources, vehicle owners, and facilities providing supplies and materials in the area to be ready to supply to respond to and overcome the consequences of storms and floods.
