Construction of "Humanitarian House" started

On July 30, the Thanh Son District Red Cross Society (CTĐ) coordinated with Van Mieu Commune to start construction of a "Humanitarian House" for Ms. Ha Thi Lan's family in Mat 1 area, Van Mieu Commune.

Representatives of the Thanh Son District Red Cross Association and sponsors presented financial support to build a "Humanitarian House" for Ms. Ha Thi Lan's family in Mat 1 area, Van Mieu commune, Thanh Son district.

Ms. Lan's family is a poor household with extremely difficult circumstances. Her husband unfortunately suffered from a serious illness and recently passed away. Currently, although Ms. Lan's health is poor and she often has to go for medical treatment, she still has to raise 2 children (the first child born in 2014 has a mental disability) and the second child born in 2015.

Ms. Lan and her three children are living in a makeshift house that is not safe, especially during the rainy season. Through a survey, the Thanh Son District Red Cross Association has connected and mobilized the VLS Education System and Vietland School (Dat Viet Kindergarten) to support the construction of a "Humanitarian House" for Ms. Lan's family.

The house was built on the old house foundation, with a construction area of ^​​50m2 , with an estimated budget of over 100 million VND. Of which, VLS Education System and Vietland School (Dat Viet Kindergarten) supported 50 million VND. The remaining amount was mobilized by the District Red Cross Association and local leaders from benefactors, departments, branches, organizations of Van Mieu commune and relatives to support with funding, materials, and corresponding labor for construction.

The house is expected to be built, completed and handed over to Ms. Lan's family after about 2 months, helping her family stabilize their lives.
