Arousing the spirit, attitude and qualities of cadres in the new period

Personality is the most sustainable measure to evaluate the quality of cadres. That is the affirmation of Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Ho Trung Viet at the 2025 Provincial Scientific Conference with the theme "President Ho Chi Minh and the career of training and fostering political theory for cadres - on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the first political theory training class of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc" organized by Ca Mau Provincial Political School on November 10.

Attending were 110 delegates who were scientists, managers, lecturers and political theory researchers from inside and outside the province.

Speaking at the workshop, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Ho Trung Viet affirmed that an education system is only truly successful when those who are trained become cadres with courage, integrity, impartiality, culture of behavior and spirit of service as taught by President Ho Chi Minh.

“Knowledge can be supplemented, skills can be trained, but personality is the most sustainable measure to evaluate the quality of cadres” - Comrade Ho Trung Viet emphasized; at the same time, he further analyzed that the goal of educating and training cadres does not stop at equipping knowledge or management skills, but is to nurture people with personality, knowing how to live and act for the benefit of the Fatherland and the people.

Through the workshop, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Ho Trung Viet suggested that the Provincial Political School and training institutions continue to attach importance to education on public ethics, exemplary responsibility and revolutionary ideals; at the same time, promote innovation in teaching methods, ensuring that each lecture not only imparts knowledge but also arouses the spirit, attitude and qualities of cadres in the new period...

The presentations at the workshop focused on clarifying President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on the key role of political theory training and fostering; the fundamental value of the first political training class organized by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc 100 years ago. At the same time, delegates focused on analyzing the requirements for innovation in political theory education in the current period such as: improving practicality and combat in teaching, as well as innovating content and methods in a modern direction, closely following the scientific and revolutionary nature of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought; thereby, building a team of lecturers with mettle, intelligence, ethics and pedagogical methods suitable to the context of digital transformation, the requirements of the Party's tasks in the new situation...

At the workshop, Principal of Ca Mau Provincial Political School Duong Van Thanh emphasized that all presentations affirmed the key role of political theory education and training, considering this the foundation for building a team of "both red and professional" cadres.

“From Ho Chi Minh's thought on lifelong theoretical learning and teaching methods linking theory with practice, the authors analyzed the current situation of learning and teaching theory, which is still formal and lacks connection with local practice. Many papers proposed specific solutions such as: Innovating teaching content and methods, promoting the role of setting examples and self-study of cadres and lecturers, strengthening research, summarizing practices, providing policy advice, and promoting digital transformation. Through the workshop, it was affirmed that when theory is creatively applied to practice, the work of training and fostering political theory will truly be vital, effective, and contribute to firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation" - the Principal of Ca Mau Provincial Political School stated.
