Checking the progress of removing temporary and dilapidated houses in Quynh Phu district

On the morning of April 2, the provincial working delegation inspected the progress of the Project to support poor and near-poor households to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Thai Binh province in the period of 2024 - 2025 and evaluated the implementation of the Project to support people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives to have housing in Quynh Phu district.

The provincial working delegation inspected the implementation of removing temporary and dilapidated houses for households with meritorious services in An Hiep commune (Quynh Phu).

Implementing the projects, Quynh Phu district has 491 poor and near-poor households that are eligible and in need of removing temporary and dilapidated houses. Of these, 260 households are building new houses and 231 households are repairing them. To date, the district has provided funding to support 162 households that were approved in the first phase and completed construction. Regarding the Project to support people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs in housing, the district has 232 households eligible for support, of which 81 households have started construction, completed new construction or repaired houses. Through review according to Decision No. 55 of the Ministry of Construction , the district has added 155 poor and near-poor households and 90 households with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs to the list of proposed support.

At the meeting, members of the provincial working group clarified issues related to the progress of the projects of Quynh Phu district, and at the same time guided the district to take the next steps to ensure the implementation on schedule and in accordance with regulations. The working group requested Quynh Phu district to promptly review and determine the current housing status of households arising under Decision No. 55 of the Ministry of Construction to ensure strictness and correctness of the subjects, as a basis for advising the Provincial People's Committee to consider and approve the adjustment of the list of households eligible for support. The district needs to quickly complete and unify the list and send it to the Provincial Steering Committee to ensure the progress of the projects according to plan.
