Kien Giang trains in Podcast production skills

The entire nation has just gone through days of sorrow, bidding farewell to Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam - with immeasurable grief.

Before the training program began, the leaders of Kien Giang Newspaper, Kien Giang Radio and Television Station, the Provincial Journalists Association, and their members, journalists, and reporters observed a minute of silence to express their respect, gratitude, and remembrance for Comrade General Secretary and journalist Nguyen Phu Trong.

Journalist Doan Hong Phuc - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association - delivered the opening remarks at the training session.

The training course "Podcast Production Skills" had over 50 participants, including members, reporters, and journalists working at media agencies in the province, as well as the Cultural, Sports and Broadcasting Centers of districts and cities in Kien Giang province.

In his opening remarks, journalist Doan Hong Phuc, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, stated: “This journalism training course contributes to improving professional skills and enhancing the quality of journalistic works in line with modern journalistic production trends. This is also part of the digital transformation roadmap for journalism in Kien Giang province, in accordance with the policies of the Party and the State.”

The instructor directly imparting knowledge to the journalists is Ms. Dao Thi Hong Linh, M.Sc., Journalist and Editor of VOV Traffic Channel ( Voice of Vietnam Radio ).

The "Podcast Production Skills" training course focuses on key topics such as: the advantages of podcasts; factors determining the success of a podcast channel; and popular genres in journalistic podcasts.

The training course not only provides basic knowledge and skills necessary for podcast production but also creates opportunities for participants to practice podcasting, exchange experiences, and thereby improve the quality of local journalistic works.
