Strengthening the members of the Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation and Project 06

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 2130/QD-TTg dated September 24, 2025 on completing the membership of the Government Steering Committee on science, technology development, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06.

According to the Decision, the members of the Government's Steering Committee on science, technology development, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06 are supplemented and perfected as follows: Add comrade Le Hoai Trung, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, member of the Steering Committee; add comrade Tran Duc Thang, acting Minister of Agriculture and Environment , member of the Steering Committee to replace comrade Do Duc Duy; add comrade Le Van Loi, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, member of the Steering Committee to replace comrade Phan Chi Hieu; add comrade Vu Hai Quan, Permanent Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, member of the Steering Committee to replace comrade Pham Duc Long.

This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation (September 24, 2025).

* According to Decision No. 598/QD-TTg dated March 13, 2025, the Steering Committee is responsible for researching and proposing to the Government and the Prime Minister directions and solutions to solve problems in implementing policies, strategies, mechanisms, and breakthrough policies for science and technology development, innovation, national digital transformation, implementation of Project 06 and administrative reform. Giving opinions on strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, projects related to science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, implementation of Project 06 and administrative reform under the decision-making authority of the Government and the Prime Minister.

The Steering Committee assists the Government and the Prime Minister in directing ministries, branches and localities to implement goals, tasks and solutions for science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, implementation of Project 06, administrative reform; coordinates the implementation of inter-sectoral strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, projects, and solutions on science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, implementation of Project 06, administrative reform; coordinates the implementation of the Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

At the same time, assist the Government and the Prime Minister in urging and inspecting the implementation of strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, projects, and solutions of an inter-sectoral nature on science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, implementation of Project 06 and administrative reform; urge the implementation of the Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo; summarize and evaluate the situation and results of implementing key tasks and solutions on science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, implementation of Project 06 and administrative reform. Perform other tasks as required by the Government and the Prime Minister.
