As a remote district of Dak Lak province, the socio -economic conditions of Krong Bong district are still difficult. Clearly identifying the limitations that still exist among the people and women's union members, in order to effectively implement Project 939 and gradually change the awareness of women's union members, the Women's Union at all levels of Krong Bong district has flexibly applied many measures and methods to propagate the project's content.
Inspire the spirit of entrepreneurship
Faced with the low level of education and awareness of its members, the Association has focused on direct communication activities through branch meetings, club meetings, groups and teams. In addition, the Association prints leaflets, posts videos promoting startup content on social networks... At the same time, it actively organizes training activities and seminars to improve the capacity of women to start businesses such as: Digital business skills, online business, generating ideas and making business plans, how to approach and use loan capital... Thanks to the systematic training, female members are able to share knowledge, learn from experiences, stimulate creativity, and develop production and business ideas.
To help women start and run businesses, the District Women's Union has directed all levels of the Union to conduct surveys to understand the needs and capabilities of women, then evaluate and select the most feasible projects and options to invest resources in terms of knowledge, skills, experience and capital. The Standing Committee of the District Women's Union of Krong Bong always closely follows the targets and tasks of Project 939 and mobilizes local resources to support women in starting and running businesses. The grassroots Women's Union also regularly does a good job of understanding the situation, needs and aspirations of women to help and advise them to realize their startup ideas.

In the past time, the Women's Union at all levels has mobilized resources to support 186 women (mainly poor women and ethnic minorities) to borrow capital to start a business, with a total amount of more than 700 million VND. In addition, the District Women's Union also coordinated with the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Krong Bong District to carry out lending activities with outstanding loans of more than 180 billion VND, with 4,000 member households receiving loans, supporting women to develop the economy and escape poverty sustainably.
Members gradually take control of their family's finances.
Thanks to the financial support from the District Women's Union, and being equipped with knowledge and encouraged to start a business, many female members in Krong Bong have risen out of poverty and become economic masters. Each member's way of starting a business is different, depending on the actual needs and circumstances of the family, but in the end, they all have the same happy result: changing themselves and reviving the family economy.
Ms. Huynh Thi Loan (village 3, Cu Kty commune) previously had little land for production but farming was not effective, so her income was unstable. In 2022, with support from the District Women's Union, her family was able to borrow 80 million VND from the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office to invest in economic development. With knowledge of animal husbandry, she boldly invested in raising 3 crossbred bulls in barns to sell beef; at the same time, she also did the job of making handmade rice paper at home. In her free time, she also accepts orders for sewing gloves. Each year, the income from animal husbandry and production brings her family a source of over 100 million VND.
In 2024, Ms. Loan saved and paid back the loan to the bank. Although the production model is still small, it has helped the family have a stable income, allowing them to take care of their 4 children's education and gradually become rich.
In Cu Nul A village, Dang Kang commune, Ms. H'Bai Byă is also a typical example of escaping poverty and becoming self-sufficient thanks to the support of the Women's Union of Krong Bong district.
Thanks to the start-up support capital from the Women's Union of Krong Bong district, Ms. H'Bai Byă's family boldly developed a pig farming model.
According to Ms. H'Bai Byă, she previously relied on agriculture , had an unstable income, and her family's economy was difficult. After attending training courses, mastering livestock farming techniques, and receiving support from the Women's Union of Krong Bong district with 5 million VND in start-up capital, she and her family boldly developed a pig farming model. Thanks to the knowledge learned through training courses, her livestock farming has also been favorable. In addition, the family only takes advantage of their free time to take care of the pigs, which does not affect much the time for other things.
Currently, in addition to her herd of 5 to 10 pigs, Ms. H'Bai Byă also raises wild boars to sell as breeding stock. Thanks to pig farming, her family has an average income of about 50 - 60 million VND/year.
With the profits from livestock farming, production, and knowing how to rotate capital, along with diligence and hard work, the family life of Ms. Huynh Thi Loan, Ms. H'Bai Byă and many other female members supported by the Krong Bong Women's Union to start a business will certainly have many positive changes.
