Dak Ken Border Guard Station was established on October 27, 2004, stationed in Dak Wil commune, managing and protecting a border section of more than 10 km long.
Over the past 20 years, generations of officers and soldiers of the station have always been united, demonstrating a core role in maintaining security and order at the border.
During 20 years of construction and development, Dak Ken Border Guard Station has continuously promoted its tradition, overcome difficulties to excellently complete the task of firmly protecting national sovereignty and border security.
The unit closely coordinates with local Party committees and authorities in developing the socio -economy of border areas, supporting people to eliminate hunger, reduce poverty and build an increasingly solid People's Border Defense posture.
Dak Ken Border Guard Station has effectively fought against sabotage activities from hostile forces; prevented and fought against many types of crimes. The unit maintains combat-ready forces, ensures forces and means to respond promptly to natural disasters and carry out search and rescue operations.
With the achievements over the past 20 years, the officers and soldiers of the Station were awarded 3 certificates of merit by the Minister of National Defense, 3 certificates of merit by the Border Guard Command; 1 certificate of merit by the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee, 1 certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee. Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Bui Duc Chinh, Deputy Political Commissar of Dak Nong Provincial Border Guard, requested officers and soldiers of Dak Ken Border Guard Station to continue promoting their role as a specialized force, building a national border of peace, friendship, stability, cooperation and development.
The unit has done a good job of advising local Party committees and authorities, effectively implementing Directive No. 01/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on "Organizing a mass movement to participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation". The station has promoted the work of helping people develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, and build new rural areas in Dak Wil commune practically and effectively.
