Overcoming all difficulties and hardships, the border guards always remain united, excellently fulfilling all tasks and making a significant contribution to building Cao Bang into a strong shield on the border of the Fatherland.

A solid support for people in border regions.

With a border stretching over 330km, the crime situation in the border area of Cao Bang province is complex. Therefore, the Provincial Border Guard Command has directed its units to strengthen patrol forces and combat and prevent all types of crime.

The Tra Linh International Border Gate Border Guard Station is responsible for managing nearly 29km of border line. The area is complex and prone to smuggling and illegal immigration activities.

Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Duong, Political Officer of the Tra Linh International Border Gate Border Guard Station, stated that the station continues to effectively educate and guide the implementation of tasks, deploy forces along the border, ensure continuous security, and manage the border area well. Simultaneously, they promote public awareness campaigns to encourage people to actively report crimes; and closely coordinate with patrol and control forces to promptly detect and handle violations of the law in the border area, ensuring the maintenance of security and social order in the border region.

With the motto "The outpost is our home, the border is our homeland, and the people of all ethnic groups are our brothers and sisters," the Border Guard always stays close to the grassroots, actively helping the people in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, moving livestock out from under the floors of houses, etc.

In border communes, keeping livestock under the floorboards of houses is very common. Thanks to the active involvement of local Party committees, authorities, and the Border Guard, people's awareness of the harmful effects of keeping livestock under the floorboards of houses has been raised.

The family of Ms. Chu Thi Cai (Ban Khau hamlet, Thong Nhat commune, Ha Lang district) voluntarily relocated their livestock pens more than 20 meters away from their house. After the relocation was completed, the family's living space improved significantly. Ms. Cai shared that her family received guidance and encouragement from the Quang Long Border Guard Station and the local authorities. Now, their house is cleaner, the children get sick less often, and she feels healthier because she no longer has to live with the foul smell of livestock waste.

In 2024, Cao Bang province eliminated over 7,000 temporary and dilapidated houses. The Border Guard force played a significant role in this success.

According to Major Nguyen Vu Le, Deputy Political Officer of the Ta Lung International Border Gate Border Guard Station, the unit has developed a specific plan and program to coordinate with relevant departments, agencies, and organizations to provide support, including labor assistance, mobilizing officers and soldiers in the unit to donate money, and socializing to help 4 households with a support level of 44 million VND per household.

The practical actions of the Border Guard have brought joy to many poor families in the border region. The family of Ms. Dam Thi Nguyet (Na Sao hamlet, Be Van Dan commune, Quang Hoa district) is in particularly difficult circumstances; her husband has passed away, and she is raising two children alone, living in an old, dilapidated house.

In 2024, the Border Guard Post and local authorities coordinated to help Ms. Nguyet's family build a new house. Ms. Nguyet emotionally shared that her family's circumstances were very difficult, and now, thanks to the Party, the State, and especially the officers and soldiers of the Ta Lung International Border Gate Border Guard Post, they have been helped to build a sturdy house. She and her two children are very happy and grateful.

The efforts of the Border Guard have been transforming life in border areas day by day. Only when people in border regions have stable lives, feel secure in their production, and remain in their villages and communities can they join the functional forces in firmly protecting national sovereignty and border security.

Strive to complete assigned tasks well.

In the coming period, the Border Guard of Cao Bang province will continue to strive to successfully fulfill its nhiệm vụ of protecting border sovereignty and security, and building a strong foundation of public support in the border areas of the Fatherland.

Colonel Dang Hong Quan, Political Commissar of the Cao Bang Provincial Border Guard, emphasized that in 2025, the country will have many major events. The unit is determined to proactively grasp the situation, avoid being caught off guard, and focus on preventing all types of crime and avoiding hotspots; continue to promote border guard diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy to build a peaceful and friendly border, creating conditions for border region development and local development to join the country in a new era. At the same time, focus on building a strong and comprehensive unit, building a clean and strong Party Committee, including successfully organizing Party Congresses at all levels from the grassroots to the provincial level...

Overcoming all difficulties and hardships, the border guards always remain united, excellently fulfilling all tasks, making an important contribution to building Cao Bang into an increasingly developed, prosperous and beautiful province, worthy of being a strong shield on the border of the Fatherland.
