During the peak period, units increased forces and means, closely coordinated with functional forces, proactively prevented, resolutely fought and suppressed crimes, maintained territorial sovereignty, political security, and social order and safety in border, sea and island areas.

Colonel Pham Van Thang, Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Commander of the Border Guard Command of An Giang province chaired the discussion on implementing the peak plan.

Units focus on investigating, detecting, and destroying criminal networks and organizations; not allowing complicated "hot spots" of security and order to arise.

Party committees and commanders of agencies and units must thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the plan, raise awareness and responsibility of officers and soldiers; and ensure absolute safety of people, vehicles and weapons during the performance of tasks.

The Border Guard Force will increase patrols and strictly control borders and sea areas; combine regular activities with surprise inspections to promptly detect and prevent illegal activities.
